NFBC Week 2 FAAB Pickups

I thought it would be interesting to show some of the top FAAB pickups for Week 2 in each league so that everyone can stay up to speed with the new acquisitions. Here's the going rate in each NFBC league for the most sought-after free agents:

NFBC Chicago League #1

Dixie Walkers paid $82 for Jeff D'Amico, while FUPayMe spent $62 on Claudio Vargas. Other top bids were won by Razor Shines Last Fan, paying $54 for Chan Ho Park, Howdogs paying $43 for Orber Moreno, and Big Mac Attack getting Chris Capuano and Tyler Yates for $32 each. Howdogs also got Paul Wilson for $22.

NFBC Chicago League #2

Cheat Seat Chuggers paid $111 for Adam Everett, while Meshuggana Lolligaggers paid $57 for Luis Vizcaino. Other players of note included: $31 for Jeff D'Amico by Shenanigans, $31 for Tyler Yates and $29 for Claudio Vargas by DFW Rough Riders, and $19 for Chan Ho Park by Dante's Screamers.

NFBC Chicago League #3

This is the mix of Chicago and Las Vegas players. Cheers had the high bid of $101 for Paul Wilson, with Team Esposito paying $51 for Tyler Yates and Worst Russian Ever paying $50 for Jeff D'Amico. Scarface also got Claudio Vargas for $50. Other interesting bids were $30 for Craig Monroe by Team Price and $22 for Eric Young by Team Pike.

NFBC Las Vegas League #1

Las Vegas Ratpack didn't spare the change as they bid $180 for Chris Capuano and $160 for Craig Monroe. Ryan Vogelsong went for $141 and Dustin Hermanson went for $58 to Who Dat Is?. Other players of note included: Chan Ho Park for $29 to The Lip, Bubba Crosby for $27 and Jack Wilson for $26 to Blind Threesome, and Peter Bergeron for $51 to Out of the Shadows.

NFBC Las Vegas League #2

The top bid of the week was for Hee Seop Choi, who was acquired by RoidRage for $203. Omar Vizquel also went to RotoPlay.com for $87, while that same team paid $83 for Matt Riley. Captain Hook obtained Claudio Vargas for $69, while Tres Hombres got Jack Wilson for $38 and Tino Martinez for $27. Overpaid Greedy Bastards acquired Paul Wilson for $6, Chris Capuano for $6 and Bubba Crosby for $3.

NFBC Las Vegas League #3

Walla Walla paid $151 for Ben Grieve, while Weird Science paid $107 for Luis Gonzalez and Cyclones acquired Ray Lankford for $101. Other pickups of note included: Claudio Vargas for $53 by Curt Flood Love, Tyler Yates for $48 by PezSox, Victor Zambrano for $44 by Appleton Hays, Craig Monroe for $35 by Pedro and Man, and Paul Wilson for $10 by Pedro and Man.

NFBC Las Vegas League #4

Leaderboard Sports NFBC paid $189 for Craig Monroe, while FresnoFanatics won the bidding for Mike Matheny at $75. Other notable bids included: $32 for Chan Ho Park by TalentedMrRoto.com, $28 for Chris Capuano by Fort Lauderdale Tides and $21 for John Patterson by Fort Lauderdale Tides.

NFBC Las Vegas League #5

The Great Ones acquired Jerry Hairston Jr. with an $88 bid, while The Subterraneans acquired Craig Monroe with a $66 bid. Other top bids of note included: $51 for Erik Bedard by All4U2NV, $27 for Chris Capuano by Hell Bent For Leather, $3 for Bubba Crosby by The Subterraneans, and $2 for Claudio Vargas by Crazy Zefurs NFBC.

NFBC New York League #1

Bud Frogs has the current high bid in NFBC history as they bid $425 for Craig Biggio. Other triple-digit winning bids included $149 for Karim Garcia by Ball Five, $149 for Craig Monroe by Tuna Kings, and $100 for Mike Matheny by Bud Frogs. Bud Frogs also paid $75 for Claudio Vargas and $50 for Jose Offerman. Jack Wilson went to Tuna Kings for $73, Paul Wilson went to Townies for $58 and Jeff D'Amico went to Ball Five for $18.

NFBC New York League #2

Harlem Hangover had the top bid of the week for Craig Monroe at $65. Other top bids included: $63 for Ray Lankford by Roenicke-Lowenstein, $60 for John Patterson and $60 for Neifi Perez by Crawdaddys, $31 for Chan Ho Park by PiNsTrlpErS and $5 for Bubba Crosby by Jersey Bombers.

NFBC New York League #3

We Go Now paid $86 for Ronnie Belliard to lead the bidding, while Heads paid $74 for Chris Capuano. 100 Grand obtained Craig Monroe for $54 and We Go Now added John Patterson for $34 and Paul Wilson for $34.

NFBC New York League #4

Go The Distance paid $53 for Matt Riley and $37 for Erik Bedard, while The Chameleons paid $43 for Craig Monroe. Other pickups of note included: Claudio Vargas for $26 by Kings of Swing, Ken Harvey for $16 by Ya Gotta Believe and Paul Wilson for $13 by Amazin' Bets.

NFBC New York League #5

Cals Crew paid $105 to acquire Ryan Vogelsong, while Cartinals paid $51 for Mike Matheny. Other pickups of note included: $31 for Craig Monroe by Team Fox, $22 for Adam Everett by Team Fox, $8 for Coco Crisp by Team Summitt, and $5 for Paul Wilson by Team Conti.

Did I actually see that Luis Gonzalez was on waivers? Moreover, Grieve went for more than Gonzalez. Is there another Luis Gonzalez? To each their own I guess.

Viper, there's an old lawyer saying that you never ask a question in court that you don't know the answer to. Yes, there are two Luis Gonzalez's and this one plays for the Rockies and was actually a hot commodity in most leagues this week.
