For the fifth straight season, we're proud to announce a partnership with MockDraftCentral.com. All of our NFBC satellite leagues will again by hosted by MDC.com and all NFBC members will receive a free pass to MDC's premium site once they sign up for an NFBC live event or satellite league. We've been doing this with MDC.com since we started in 2004 and our members have really enjoyed the opportunity to mock draft on that site and to use the valuable ADP information from that site.
Thanks to Jason Pliml and Geoff Stein for working with us on this. Anyone who has drafted with us in satellite leagues know how hard those guys work during the drafts and their site just keeps getting better and better each year. I'm looking forward to our first draft on Dec. 18th to see what new innovations they have for us in 2008.
Everyone who signed up through this week should have received an e-mail invitation from MDC to use their site. If you didn't get one yet, just e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll get you set up. Here's their invitation they sent to everyone last night:
The NFBC has once again teamed with MockDraftCentral.com to offer
complimentary mock drafting to all NFBC participants.
Your complimentary Mock Draft Central membership is good for unlimited mock
drafting through April 1, 2008. In addition to mock drafting, you'll also
have full access to our premium ADP reports, player trend reports, our
revamped PDI report, and all other premium MDC features.
I'd also like to mentioned some new features rolled out since last baseball
season. First off, we have completely redesigned the draft creator, making
the creation of mock drafts fast & painless. We have overhauled the Coach
Karma system, making it much easier to draft against stronger competition.
As a reminder, Coach Karma is not based on how you draft, but on how well
you participate. If you signup for a draft and arrive early, you are
rewarded. If you signup and miss a draft, down goes your Karma. And
finally, we have added a very interesting new tool -- projected standings.
Throughout the draft you can view how your team is projected to stack up
based on projections created by partner sites specializing in player
projections (we like to stick to what we do best - mock drafting & ADP).
Keep in mind -- the projected standings feature is merely a tool -- actual
results will vary materially. The intent of the projection tool is to help
you identify categorical areas of strength or weakness. It is not used to
determine who is the best drafter and is never considered in calculating
Coach Karma. Just remember, it's only a tool. If projections were 100%
accurate, there'd be no point in playing the game. Note: The projected
standings tool is available only during mock drafts -- for league /
satellite drafts this feature is disabled.
Thanks again guys. And enjoy NFBC members. Draft Day is less than 100 days away, so get mocking now!!!

One of the best "perks" for taking part in the NFBC has been the use of the Mockdraftcentral site. Nice job in bringing them back.
Maybe now I'll actually sign up!

Maybe now I'll actually sign up! Agreed. It's why I signed up this early. I'd sign up anyway, but would probably procrastinate till after the new year.
