Thx I hope that whoever puts together MDC's numbers is in my league next year.Kevin D had the worst draft according to MDC. His draft was fine, MDC's predictions aren't.
I'm in last place, I didn't know they had a projection? :(

Took a look - my team ranks near the bottom in R/RBI, and low in nearly all pitching categories. That makes sense, since I have a lot of younger players who may not have played a full season last yr, and pitchers who will be taking on expanded roles, none of which is likely to get into formal projections.

I hereby challenge the computer, mano a raton! :D

would any of you that were in that draft be willing to post the projections? I would find it quite useful.

That means that ice cube is what waters down the Metamucil and the boys in the hood are the guys that hung out at Sherwood Forest with Robin.

Ok. You're right, I understand not wanting to do that.

how many AB do you project fields for? same question for headly
Fields..540+ He's going to get plenty of pt.

Headley..400+ He will be challenged, but should provide surprising numbers.

i stand by my comments. your O is substandard. with outfielders like this, you better be good at the waiver wire.

OF Jack Cust - .250 or less

OF Jayson Werth - injury waiting to happen

OF Dave Roberts - injury waiting to happen & judy time

OF Jonny Gomes - .250 or less

OF Carlos Gomez - very little PT FANTASTIC analysis.

Am I the only one who realizes Josh Fields is OF eligible?? Or how about Chase Headley moving to the OF??

I could care less if Gomes and Cust both hit 250...I wanted them for the HR's. I know Cust and to a lesser degree, Gomes, will hit for a low average, but BA is so volatile with many players so you never know.

Again, I guarantee my O is anything but substandard and it will be proven throughout next season.
1) Fields is not guaranteed enough AB to worry about his OF qualification. IMO if Crede is back and starting, Fields is on the bench (unless Quentin AND Owens AND Sweeney tank in spring training) You may have remembered his OF eligibility but forgotten about the trade which virtually takes him out of shot at starting in the OF

2) Headley to the OF is interesting to speculate on, but to my knowledge not something the Padres have considered (so far)and frankly I don't think he is as strong a hitting prospect as many others (but of course I have only seen him in 40+ games ;)

That said, I don't think your OF is as bad as GG does, but it does need to be fortified because it's obviously not as good as you think Patrick.
Perry, Perry, Perry....when are you going to learn oh young one? IMO, Fields either starts in the OF, those guys won't hold him off...OR, Crede gets traded and Fields plays 3B. Crede getting traded is what I'm predicting.

Why would the Padres stick with the OF they have? I heard rumblings of Kouz being moved to the OF to pave way for Headley, but he progressed so the talk changed to a Headley OF move.

Ok, my OF sucks...the rest of the team is pretty good. From perusing the rosters, there's a lot of teams with more problems than mine.

Kent, thanks for the backhanded compliments .

The few teams I've posted on here got ripped apart, yet all had a great season.

I will NEVER have older, established players on any of my fantasy teams. I'm the "get the rookie" guy who prefers the unknown, opposed to getting the older player who will have the same boring numbers each year. This is a lot harder in football, but from my limited time playing fantasy baseball, I've found it quite easy....and I'm not sure how others don't see some of the things I see. Of course that's what the masses say to me, so what do anu of us know??

And to be honest, everyone has the stats and all the mumbo jumbo...of which I honestly don't know what all the acronyms stand for...anyways, all I have is my eyes....what I see from watching the games and what the boxscores tell me.

And for those who like to read into what is written on these boards...this post isn't meant to be taken anyway other than me being honest about where my thoughts/opinions come from.

So being that I work for Dr. Pepper...that was for you Ice Cube ;) , I decided to see what Coca Cola was doing, as well as Pepsi....I can't wait to see what this new world brings to the GLY strategy.

Again, that's why I love fantasy baseball. There's so many different ways an owner can build a team and win.....even terrible ones!

IM not jules capt but if i was i would like the trade , Hamilton will start in centerfield and one of the best hitting park's in baseball.

He just needs to stay healthy for a very good season.

....at least for HR

I was pretty sad to see this basicially from an emotional stability stand point. The Reds had many people in place to deal with Hamilton's addictive personality...not sure he'll get that much needed support with The Rangers.

Also, I was targeting Jay Bruce in the draft and someone snagged him, I thought he'd last a couple more rounds.

In retrospect, what I really should have done was draft Bruce where I drafted Polanco! :D
