Cano in the third round of a 12 teamer? Somebody should turn in their expert badge.

Ichiro pick 13 is worse than Cano in the 3rd which is pretty bad.

Had to pass on him twice  You should know by now Perry that I'm a Packers HOMER (Brett Favre is picked by me every time!!), but I'm not a Brewers HOMER. In fact, I'm not even a Brewers fan, but I do like what they're building now. Braun would have been cool, but when I looked at the bottom of a 12-teamer I told Tom you could easily get a top SB guy and a power guy with those first two picks and then go from there. It worked well with Crawford and Howard, but we'll see how the final numbers work out.

I'll admit the 3-4 turn wasn't as appealing down at the bottom, but I filled out my infield in the first five rounds: Howard, Brian Roberts, Aramis Ramirez, Michael Young. That left me with a weaker than I wanted OF. Oh well.

Man, one thing Tom and I both noticed this year was the lack of depth at starting pitching. There is a huge dropoff at a certain point where taking a starter can actually hurt your team. I know I'd look that position over harder next time and maybe jump in for that fourth and fifth starter a little earlier. I finished with Cole Hamels, Carlos Zambrano (yeah, I know the downsides), Rich Hill, Matt Cain and Brett Myers, but finding the sixth SP in a 12-team league was nearly impossible. I can imagine in the 15-team NFBC, things will dry up even earlier.

Enjoy all. We'll post both drafts in full soon enough.

Reyes, Ortiz, Teixeira = Wow! what a start! Looks good to me, Tom.

Ortiz will always have the knock against him because of his lack of position, but all three have a real shot at 1st Round calibre points this year.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Biggest suprise to me is Beltran sliding down to the 23rd pick. Also Jeter is to high, he's steals where cut n half and no power, even his bavg dropped.[no thanks]I love Cano but he is a little early, last i grabbed him in the 4th round in a 15 team draft, his power is rising.

I've added several rounds to this thread as well, so look at the first post on page one. I'll put all 23 rounds up this week for all to see and you'll get the first issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine later this month if you were an early-bird signup.

Greg, I don't understand why your doing a expert 12 team mix draft for the mag. The experts draft should be the same as the NFBC. Your under cutting your own contest. Promote the 15 man draft and make the experts draft it. :D

I'm not ready to convert the ENTIRE fantasy baseball world to our 15-team concept. Remember, it took God seven days to create the world, so give me time to convert the masses to our format. ;)
