maybe it's based on his "feel" GG

Here is the last information from the Indian's website.

"Miller 23, is considered the organization's top pitching prospect, though injuries have hindered his development. He missed a month of this season at Buffalo with a strained right middle finger and another month with right elbow inflammation. For the season, he went 5-4 with a 4.82 WERA in 19 games, including 11 starts.

The Indians sent Miller to the Arizona Fall League to increase his workload for the year, and he went 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA in five starts. He was scratched from his last scheduled outing last week when the right middle finger flared up again, but the Indians insist the injury is not serious and that Miller will be ready to go in time for Spring Training."

The injury may not have been serious, but he was getting Whacked pretty good in the AFL before he "injured his finger"

Has the Indians payroll prevented them from winning in 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 thru today?? The payroll argument is really week. The Sox do have resources but their owners are also willing to open their pockets.

Don't be bitter. The Indians absolutely CHOKED this post-season. Travis Hafner looked lost and Carmona-Sabathia couldn't handle the Fenway Crowd. (There may be a history here though: 99 ALDS up 2-0 to lose 2-3 after Pedro came out of the pen with a bum shoulder to toss 6 perfect innings in game 5)

I think the sox will do just fine after manny and schilling. #2 Farm System in all of baseball according to Baseball America. How was Beckett's hangnail in the playoffs? You could have combined your 1948 team with the 07 crew and not had a chance. The guy is money in the big game!

hahahahahaha... the payroll excuse is WEAK?? DO you know WHY you have Manny?? Because you can offer him more money than we can! GET REAL. You were a failure of a franchise, not winning since 1918 until winning 2 recently.. and all with that much money.. pathetic. That's not a weak argument. If you have a sport where one team gets 6 times more money than another team, how the hell do you expect that team with a 6 times less payroll to be competitive??

wait wait wait.. I just saw this.. we didn't have a chance?? YOU WERE DOWN 3-1! WE NEEDED ONE GAME! Do you know the definition of "not having a chance"?? Clearly not. That's ridiculous.

You didn't have a chance vs. Beckett!! He dominated you in case you didn't notice. What's this 6 times payroll argument now? At least compare the sox vs the indians and not the D Rays.

PS I hate the Yankees. Have no beef whatsoever with the other 28 teams. Just had to back my team since you claim we win only from payroll. A 20 million dollar pitcher or a 200 thousand dollar pitcher could of gotten your boy Hafner out! He's to blame. Not the payroll!!

BTW The Sox always haven't always had this payroll. The Tribe had a higher payroll than the sox in 1999. Cleveland lost to a FLA team in the 97 WS even though CLE had a higher payroll.

What happened to Andy Marte? I was excited when the sox originally got him from ATL even though that lasted only a month. It seems like he's taken two steps backward the past few years. He was easily a top ten prospect 3 years ago.

Do you think the CLE front office is going to pull the plug on him? Beau Mills could be a 30 hr bat but thats a few years away at least.

I really don't know, man... I was deliriously happy when we dealt Crisp for him, then he just never got it going... he is going to be on the MLB roster this year because he is out of options...might share time at 3B with Blake... he's still young, he could pull a Brandon Phillips on us, but I hope not. I hope he comes out on fire and forces Blake in LF/UTL. However, the Indians are definitely preparing for Marte to not make it as the 3B of the future. Mills is being trained to be a 3B, and one of our top prospects, Wes Hodges, is now considered our most likely 3B of the future. We'll see how it all works out and how quickly Mills moves through the system, but Mills could end up at 1B if Garko doesn't work out (though I don't think that will happen) or at DH if Hafner really is going downhill (which I also doubt).
