Every Monday (from now until the end of February), I will post a fantasy baseball question in this forum. For example, a question could be, “Suppose you have picks 15 and 16 in the main event draft in March. Which two players are you hoping to select and why?”
The question will be “open” for one week. Anyone and everyone can respond to the question with their best answer, along with whatever supporting information they have to bolster their answer. Come the following Monday, myself and our very own Stephen Jupinka (better known as Quahogs) will review all the answers and pick a “first-place”, as well as an “honorable mention”. How will we judge your answers and ultimately pick the winners? Our criteria for selection include:
(1) your answer
(2) the supporting information you used
(3) originality
Please note: It’s okay to use the same answer as a prior poster, but you need to provide better supporting information if you want to win. In addition, you can win multiple weeks, so go ahead and play every week!!
Okay okay, you’re probably asking yourself…what happens to the winners?

In addition to having message board “props” amongst your peers, the weekly "first place" poster gets his choice of either Prize 1 or Prize 2. The "honorable mention" poster gets the prize not chosen.
Prize 1 - a copy of the Baseball Forecaster

Ron Shandler has been gracious enough to provide Greg with a few copies of the Baseball Forecaster, and in turn, Greg has offered to provide them as prizes for this contest!!! Whoever chooses this prize will win a copy of the Baseball Forecaster mailed to their house. Woohoo!!! In my opinion, the Forecaster is a must read for anyone looking to have a successful fantasy season. What a great prize and for free!!!
Prize 2 - a chance for a free entry into a 2008 $125 NFBC satellite league

Since I’ve been fortunate enough to experience a good deal of success in the high stakes fantasy arena, it’s time for me to give back a little to the community. With that said, if someone chooses this prize they will have their name thrown into a hat on March 3rd (along with the other 6 weekly winners). Greg will randomly pull one of the names from the hat and that person will win a free entry into a 2008 $125 NFBC satellite league. In other words, I will pay the entry fee for one person into a $125 NFBC satellite league this year. And yes, the owner gets to keep whatever they win!! Pretty neat for just showcasing some of your fantasy baseball talents on the message boards, don't ya think?
Since the contest is seven weeks, seven people will win free copies of the Baseball Forecaster and seven people will have their names placed into a hat on March 3rd and Greg will randomly pick the winner of the $125 free entry!!
There you have it. Thanks to Ron, Greg, and Quahogs, and thank you to the future participants. Fantasy baseball and this message board is what gets me through the tough winter months. Let's get some good participation, talk some baseball, award some prizes and then before you know it...Draft Day 2008 will be here. Thanks all! Any questions?
