Couldn't go thr extra buck on Furcal at 25, settled for Byrnes at 24...
Goal was 11-11-11 in HR-RBI-SB, wound up 13-13-6.
Reserves are A.McCutcheon, Taguchi, Feliciano, Bryan Pena, Volstad, and TBA.
Be kind. Early travel means we can't respond until late in the day.
We liked the Howard and Lee prices. Fielder went for $38. Had to pay for Phillips at that price. Got stuck at SS LOpez, but then got an end gamer A.Gonzalez for $2. Liked all are Pitching buys...

Practice makes perfect? Much better effort than the AL squad. The "cheapies" all have a degree of upside -- I'd say one or two of these actually pan out.

I like this team for a national league auction.
The big three pitching Billingsley 16
Maine 16
Lilly 15
Thats a very nice foundation all three seem to come at a decent price, they all have nice K VALUE and wins value.Maddox is a pretty number 4 pitcher for 8 bucks, and a lot of wins.
The 9 for Bailey is a lot for a young pitcher but does come with high reward for the risk, i probably would have put the 9 dollars elsewhere and would like to see Bailey proof it one year first before the investment, but if ready then a great start for the staff.
On the hitting side i love the three studs,
B Phillps 35
C Lee 29
E Byrnes 24
The prices again seem more than fair, and you get eveything speed, power, bavg.
Still able to get Willingham 16, and Reynolds 16,to more big power guys.
The 14 for Lopez is a little high considering he might not start , but you did get Belliard which would take a little sting out if Lopez doesnt start, either way Lopez should give you speed , 25 steals even with just 400 atbats .
Wood for 4 could be a sneaky pick here, if he can somehow gets the closer job sometime during the year could help.
Gonzalez for 2 seems really nice , a possible 20 homer shortstop for 2 is great value.
All in all a very balanced team [except saves] and i would thing one of the favorite's.

That was the difference between the two drafts IMO. We went in knowing we could get several $1-2 guys that could help in the NL, not in the AL.

no auction expert- but that seems like a very very good team. belliard and lopez could both start. pitching is very good. could be a winner. the other team is a trade team- you guys new that 1/2 through the draft. might be able to trade out of top spot in steals into the middle , with 2 trades that could win it. think all the snow made the thinking sharper.

Sambito - your mailbox is full, so here is your answer.
There are several owners who have a team in both.
Some sites - like Rotowire, have one guy do the AL team and another guy do the NL team.
There were only two guys/sites/pubs that were in the NL and not in the AL and they were Steve Moyer from Baseball Info Solutions, and Clay Davenport from Baseball Prospectus.
