Who of these younger arms going after round 8 will reach 200 k's and be a huge value to 26 owners? Billingsley, Maine, Burnett, Wainright or Snell? I think Billingsley and Maine are by far the best values and I'd rank them in that order. Both should get 180 Ks this year and there's potential for more. Snell has great stuff and he struck out 177 last year, but he's smaller and throws with so much effort that an injury is possible. But I like his stuff and his makeup. Burnett is too injury prone and Wainwright has no chance to strike out 180.

That would live up to the hype, but he will still probably go higher than other outfielders who will produce more. He obviously needs to hit .260 or above to have value and I think he will, even though he hit just .222 in the majors last year. He's too talented to fail this year with a fulltime job awaiting him.

We're also on track for the main event announcements on Friday morning as well. Good luck all there as well.

greg, does the prince fall in the rankings as a result of him changing to a vegetarian diet?

seems sacrilegious in the land of bratwurst, no?

also, is positional scarcity THAT important, i mean why the emphasis on taking one of the holy 3 (ramirez/reyes/rollins), when you have a guy like howard who might hit 60hrs? would i be crazy to view big ryan as a top 5 pk?
Always be closing.

Kudos to your site for being the first to break the news!!

Piniella squashed any ideas about a closer-by-committee saying Monday that the job was Wood's alone. "There's no reason he can't pitch three days in a row," Piniella said.
