I guess I am not understanding the complaints over owners taking the time that is allotted for each pick. I often use my max time to get caught up on other items or just to plan my strategy. That is why the time is there, no? This is not a race to see who has the fastest draft times, or at least it wasn't the last time I looked at the rules. Sorry, I don't get it. If I was drafting and staying within my time frames and I heard a lot of griping I think I wold consider taking the max time for each and every pick just because I knew it was taking some drafters focus off the task at hand.

Hey Randy

I am in your Sat league. It was a tough draft I look at my team and see the same thing. Where did all the players go and how quickly SP's went. I was happy to get Dice K in the 6th to anchor my staff. 3B was also tough by you taking Beltre in 6th Gordon going in 7th and Lowell in 7th I was forced to take Encarnacion in the 8th even though I think he will have a breakout year I thought I coulg get him later. In retrospect I thought I would get Utley at 7 and planned around that scenario. If i knew 3b was going to be that tough I would have taken Miggy at 7 instead of Holliday. Oh well

Good Luck

Marty Wow Marty, it is so funny how so many draft differ so much. Even though I am new to it, that is what I think is really cool about baseball! ;)

I drafted last night from the #14 and Chase Utley went ONE pick before me.

Ryan Zimmerman went at 7.13 (as I had him cued up!)

Gordon went with the last pick in the 7th (7.15).

Encarnacion went with the last pick in the 11th. (11.15)

Obviously 3rd basemen lasted longer in my draft, but I think pitching went fast, and the quality #3 and #4 guys dried up pretty quick.

I ended up starting off with Santana (which I wasn't counting on), and tried to put the best plan together that I could.

I got Dice K as my #2, and like you, I like him a lot this year!

Baseball is starting to grow on me!

Good luck! :D
[/QUOTE]Billy, I drafted tonight at #14. Missed Crawford by one and took Santana also along with Kazmir, Maine, Jer Weaver, Lowe, Hughes, Capps, Gagne, Fuentes.

PM me your team...

In retrospect, everyone has the right to take the full 90 secs of course. I just find it hard to believe that when people have 20-28 picks before it gets back to them that it's still a 90 sec decision. Oddly enough, I never felt that way during the Main Event. Perhaps it's just the sitting in front of a screen watching the seconds tick away that makes it frustrating....
Been way too long at sea....
