Jeff Clement

Good: Nice all around batting numbers (other than sb). He very well may gain catch eligibility IN THE MONTH OF MAY. It’s not often you can pick up an impact catcher off the waiver wire (20+ hr .285+ avg). I tried to pick him up LAST week, but was overbid. Ugh!

Bad: Couple things.

One – He should play everyday, but I’m not 100% certain about that. MAYBE he will sit against lefties or tough lefties?

Two – Begins the year as only Utility eligible.

Ugly: Small chance that he doesn’t get catcher eligibility until June/July.

FAAB analysis: For some reason, I think a lot of people will be asleep at the wheel with Clement…thus keeping his bids lower than what they should be. Again, I’ll take a stab and say the winning bids will avg out to around $150-$175. I imagine a few bids will be in the $200’s and someone from Orlando will win him for $5 (with the bid unopposed)!!!

[/QB]With Johjima getting mental rest, Clement already has 2 games at catcher (he's DH tonight). If he earns another 1 game per wk, yes it could be July until he gains catcher eligibility. In regards to him sitting vs LHPs, he actually hits LHPs better than RHPs.

GG, excellent post, dude.

You amaze me sometimes

And I'm glad to see someone around here is talking about the difference between value and worth. Two totally different animals but for some reason everyone treats them the same.

Great topic,so many people will say How could you draft ***** in the tenth round ?When ***** fits in perfectly with what your team needs are.Plus, the person doing the questioning has no idea what was left on the draft board when you took *****.
