Volquez only threw 47 of his 90 pitches for strikes tonight and gave up 5 earned runs in 4 1/3 innings. Obviously he didn't have his command tonight- was he hurt or just finally showing he's human after all? Likely just a small bump in the road.

Looks like Volquez was probably getting some pitching advice from Bronson Arroyo. Hopefully Reds management won't allow Volquez to even watch Arroyo's games in the future. Edinson will bounce back next time out! He's entitled to one of those games every few months or so :D
This year, yes... a command of 2.4 entering tonight's game. Even though he continues to walk hitters at a high rate, this dude deserves a lot of credit this year for how good he's been.
Um, have no idea what you mean by command but his BB/9 is 4.35. This is bad. And, historically, it is what you would expect from him.
Yep I admitted his high walk rate in my last post (you're calling this command). I mean strikeouts / walks when I refer to command.(I'm just using the Forecaster nonmenclature).

Regardless of his high BB/9 (control), he's still been a stud.
