Flamingo discount

Post by KJ Duke » Fri Dec 19, 2008 1:16 pm

Anyone booking Vegas for Spring, I recd an "employee discount" email from Flamingo, good thru March 09. The price is about half of what I've seen elsewhere. Must book by Monday, Dec 22.

Thanks Kevin. I just booked it because the rates as far as my memory recalls are cheaper than the NFBC group discount. Please correct me if I'm wrong but the prices I got for the trip are as follows:

3/18-$69

3/19-$89

3/20-$109

3/21-$109

3/22-$49

While my stay is subject to being slightly modified, I figure at those rates I'd just lock it all up now and change later. It's much cheaper than previous years. Sounds like Vegas is starting to feel a pinch too. Thanks again and looking forward to getting together for the SCL on 1/6.

Nice price!

Thanks for the info, Kevin.

Even the regular price for the Flamingo has fallen below the "discounted" price for the NFBC.

Greg, am in the hotel business. Call the Flamingo and tell them that their transient prices are much cheaper than your contract price and they will most likely change your rate. It is due to the economy and they understand that.

It is due to the economy and they understand that. I wish it were that easy. Trust me, we'll let them know that folks are staying at their new employee discount rates and I'm all for that. We're responsible for a set amount of room nights and honestly I don't care if you guys use our rate or theirs. I'll let them know they are under-cutting us, but when we signed the deal $189 per night during March Madness was a great deal. This employee discount is a better deal and as long as you folks can save money on staying at the Flamingo, I'm all for it.

I'll see if we can get a better discount after Dec. 22nd, but I have a feeling we're locked in at $189. But I'll check. Thanks KJ Duke for posting this because money saved is good for everyone.

discount code: PFSTHS Thanks KJ. If this makes it possible for more folks to afford to come to Las Vegas, all the better. And if more folks stay with us at the Flamingo, that just makes our Thursday night party at the sportsbook even better!!! :D

Now, is this the surest sign that the economy is affecting Las Vegas? March Madness in Las Vegas and you can find rooms at the Flamingo for $39 per night. Unreal. But take my advice, if you can upgrade to a GO Room at a fair price, do it. You'll like that wing better than the other wings.
