Greg, was there any significant discussions of the NFBC at "First Pitch". I thought Todd Zola was going to present something.
I really wanted to attend but the weekend chosen for the meetings was the main fantasy basketball draft weekend. Wish the meeting was either one week earlier or one week later.

First Pitch and the NFBC
No, the NFBC wasn't part of any individual discussion, but Todd and Matthew Berry and some other speakers did talk about their FAAB strategies and other thoughts about the event. Ron also allowed me to speak at the Friday night dinner and I talked briefly about the NFBC. Out of the 120+ guys in attendance, 12 competed in the NFBC last year and all of them are coming back this year. Some are even adding a $650 Auction League this year.
It was a very good event and we even held the XFL draft on Saturday night, which was fun. Drafting in late October for next year is always interesting, but by expanding by three teams this year it made it even more interesting. The three expansion teams had more money than the rest of us, so it made for some aggressive bidding.
I wish Ron would move that conference a week earlier or a week later too because it always interferes with Halloween. As a parent of three youngsters, that doesn't sit well at home!!!
Hey, don't forget to provide that NFBC analysis for me. We may be able to find a home for it in our first Fantasy Sports Magazine issue.

First Pitch and the NFBC
Next year's Arizona First Pitch is Nov 4-Nov 6.
Ron is adding a weekend Tampa stop (March 11 & 12) to his spring first pitch tour--maybe I'll be able to slip in a few NFBC nuggets there, although the NFBC event will be the following weekend.
