The Schedule For Online Championship Entries

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Mar 09, 2009 2:17 pm

As of tonight, we have over 380 signups for the debut NFBC Online Championship, so it's time to set the schedule for these. We already have 26 full leagues and enough teams for at least 31 leagues, so obviously we've surpassed our goal of 300 teams and a $20,000 grand prize. Because of the great demand, our grand prize has already jumped to $25,000 and will likely continue to grow. Thanks all.

So here's the schedule of events for these:

** On Thursday we're going to start hitting the credit cards for these. It will take a couple of days to do this, so don't be alarmed if you don't see the charge right away. We will make sure the three-pack discounts are made, but if this doesn't go through make sure you contact me.

** We need to fill these leagues completely with 12 teams and will randomly select each date once we decide to close them out at perfect increments. My goal is to give everyone at least a week to know their draft spots if they've signed up early, so we'll definitely form the March 28-30 drafts before we leave for the live drafts and announce those draft picks. We'll keep closing out dates from the latest to the soonest until we finally have all dates full. Where that takes us with the final count is still a mystery, but again the goal is to fill up each date perfectly with 12-team increments and get the draft spots out early enough.

** We will take signups at the live drafts, but again the drafts for the early dates might be filled and closed by then. If you really want to get into any of those leagues on those dates, sign up sooner rather than later. I may close those out early next week and pick the draft spots before I leave for Las Vegas.

We'll continue to update the total number of teams and prize structure, but right now the grand prize is heading towards $30,000 and we'll likely pay Top 10 overall and Top 5 in the Combined Standings, if not more. As we finalize this, I'll post all of that here.

Thanks all for the great support on this and let's have fun with the debut NFBC Online Championship.
