THANK YOU GREG!
Ditto!
Always a great weekend in Vegas with at least one "I can't remember going back to my room" moment! Thanks goodness for the old subconscious to remember my room 26168...that's not easy!
Looking out the window overlooking the Flamingo pool while waiting for the elevator was pleasant, as well as that magic moment at dusk when looking out my room window with a great view of the strip, and all the Casino lights just kicked on, and I notice my 2nd wind kicking in when I thought I was done for!
I should have coppied Eddie's sports bets as I think he went 8 out of 9 correct!
All in all a GREAT weekend of sun, fun and tequila!
I too enjoy sticking around post draft, and missed out of mingling with quite a few, as the draft room clears out kind of quickly with all the NCAA games to bet on! I don't think Hook recognised me with hair, as he looked right through me at least twice!
(could be an aging thing!
)
Good Luck all, and great draft as always, Greg and company!

Like always, Las Vegas was a blast! It was great seeing many who I now consider family after the last 6 years. The regret as always is there wasn’t enough time to see everyone I hoped. Greg once again put on a great event! Thank you Greg and the rest of the hard working people that make this work. God willing! Hope to see you all next year!
P.S. Perry your a class act. Thank you. Thanks John and I appreciate the kind words, but as you know by now I have as much fun doing this as you guys and gals!!
I'm still out in Las Vegas trying to secure hotel space for 2010 and I'm already looking forward to March Madness 2010. It's always special out here and I honestly think with the economy being what it is and all of us in the same struggle, this year was just a little more special and had just such a positive and uniting feel to it. It's like we all felt we're in this together and dammit let's all have fun together, too.
As many people out here commented to me this weekend, the NFBC weekend has almost become a family reunion in Las Vegas and I'm sure it's the same in the other cities, too. To get together once a year and meet up with new friends with the same common enjoyment as you -- baseball -- is fun. And after six years we've come to know about their family and seen their kids grow up and their hair gray or even fall off completely!!
Catching up is fun, but extending a hand and letting that old league mate know that you're there for him or her if they ever need you is cool too. We've formed some nice special bonds here.
Again, I have more fun than you folks, so THANK YOU!! Our staff did a great job out here and outside of the pastries not showing up on Saturday morning and a shortage of sandwiches on Sunday between the four big money drafts (sorry Super II dudes, blame the Ultimate Auction guys for taking the chicken tenders) it was all good. Just a fun, fun, fun, fun time.
And I apologize for taking the extra minute before the draft to honor our returning members, but I just had to do it. To see how many members have been with us all 6 years, then all 5 years and then multiple years was COOL. We don't hit 390 without our loyal die-hards and something tells me they'll be back with us as long as the good Lord keeps them on this earth!!
Thanks all.
