Greg - I think my partner, Will Robertson, e-mailed you today asking to see if we can lock-in for the Ultimate Draft. Right now my partner, Will, is listed under the Auction section with "(or draft)" next to his name. Our first choice would be the draft, if at all possible.

OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Rick Kanfer and Donn Johnson have thrown their hat into the NFBC Ultimate Draft League for now, although they are still checking out travel plans and more before committing for one team. Interest is leaning toward the Ultimate Draft League, so we'll finalize everything soon. We have more than 15 tentative commitments for the draft league now, so I'll make final calls today and tomorrow with everyone just to make sure we're all on the same page. Thanks guys.

Kelly Uganski of Muskegan, Michigan has just signed up for the NFBC Ultimate Auction League, which by my count now fills up that 15-team event. We still need confirmation from every owner on my list, but I'm showing at least 15 in each event now. Kelly is definitely in for the Auction League and he's wondering when we start a $10K League!!! I guess in 2006!

I think I have 1 or 2 more people interested in Vegas $5k league.

As you're working on a tally for filling another league, just to note it ;)

Keep 'em coming. It is only Jan. 14th, two full months before the event and anything is possible. Anyone interested in this should let me know and we'll figure if we have enough for more leagues or not. Pretty exciting, though, huh?

Greg, this will serve as my confirmation for the ULTIMATE Auction. Myself and partner Lindy Hinkelman will be on hand in Las Vegas.

Keep up the great work!!!

Keep up the great work!!! That would be very interesting... to have your draft position two months early?

Greg, any objections? This is a good idea.

Once we have 15 owners definitely committed we can make the decision to 1) Go forward with this Ultimate League of 15 and pick the draft orders; or 2) Wait to see if there is enough interest in a second Ultimate Draft League and mix those 30 owners into two leagues if we get there. I'd certainly have to get payment from each owner before picking the draft order as I don't want any of you boys backing out just because my daughter gave you a bad draft slot! ;)

Lets get on with it. Collect the money next week with the 15 we have now and draw the draft positions.

I'm with Greg. Positions for Auctions or Drafts should wait until it's clear how many Leagues of each there are going to be, regardless of the stakes. Of course I'd like to know my position as early as possible but not at the cost of sacrificing continuity(with the other levels of leagues in the NFBC)and the randomness of the draw into leagues. Hell, the way it's going we could have three Ultimates of each. HOLD YOUR TICKETS BOYS!!! Enjoy the ANTICIPATION. We'll get it on.

I'm with Greg and Kevin. No need to move this quickly. Besides, since it's a $5K hit on the credit card, I would like to see that particular charge on March 1st instead of February 1st.

I would be interested in the 5k league- I would prefer the auction league option.

I will put you down David for the Auction League. There's a good chance we'll get you in as I know we have one very tentative owner on that list. Thanks.

I'm very interested in either the draft or auction league for $5K, depending on availability, additional leagues being created, last-minute drop-outs, etc.

If I pay now, am I guaranteed a spot?
Do good.

Shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] or call me at 715-445-4612, ext. 284. Yes, first come first serve on the Ultimate League. We honestly have the time to try to fill up another league, so let's keep taking names and working this out. I'm ready to add you to the list when you are.

Leaderboard Sports is also interested in an auction or draft league team with Meat Loaf leading the charge. I'm waiting for confirmation from them on that team as well, so I'd say we're heading past two full leagues and trying to get a third league in the next 60 days.

Meat Loaf and Jeffrey Price have agreed to take a team in the NFBC Ultimate Auction League on Sunday, March 20th and will be bidding live from the Rio in Las Vegas. They are guaranteed an auction league team as two spots were still tentative as of today. That should give us 14 guarantees for this auction league and we'll see how the next two months play out before deciding if we'll have one or two of these Ultimate Auction Leagues. Thanks guys as Meat is now competing in all four events that weekend!!! Gotta love the dedication to fantasy baseball!

Okay, TickyBurden is a guarantee for the NFBC Ultimate Draft League, giving us 14 guys who have guaranteed they will compete in that event. There's one spot left in that one for anyone who guarantees it. After that, we'll try for a second Ultimate Draft League if there's interest, but I can't guarantee anything. Of the 14 there, 11 are in Las Vegas, two in Chicago and one in New York, which will be easy to handle.

We have 13 guaranteed spots filled for the Ultimate Auction League as well. We should have that filled soon as well. Thanks guys.
