I like Edwin Jackson for $28. This could be a nice bargain. NY7

Got Chan Ho, Franklin Gutierrez for $1 more than the 2nd place bid, and a crap catcher to put in for Clement.

Manager Jim Leyland opted to go with Anderson's speed and defense in what he figures will be a low-scoring game, and with normal left fielder Carlos Guillen DH'ing to protect him from the turf in Toronto, Marcus Thames and Jeff Larish will be on the bench at the outset of the season.

Funny that no one in Orlando wasted $78 on Chan Ho Park. Didn't give up that HR to Cal Ripken in the All Star Game. Last I looked in was 2009 and not 1999.

I agree Herman.....who would disagree that Orlando is the baseball mecca of the world.

By the way, got him for $46....

Am I the only one who thinks most of the players mentioned in this thread should've been drafted??

Bonifacio? Getz? Aybar? Thames? B.Anderson/Cahill? and to a lesser extent Schafer etc, etc, etc.

Seriously, what were the 15 owners in these leagues thinking?

And as usual, for those who knock the Florida drafts, Chicago, whatever city, why do you not make the trip to those cities since they are cakewalks? Take a look at Orlando 1 and the owners and tell me it's an easy league.

BTW, best speculation this week, if you can afford the bench spot, besides those who should've been drafted, is Perry in Detroit. I'm guessing most folks would rather wait and spend the $300+++ he will eventually go for.

My only point was I'm tired of hearing about how great NYC is. I lived in Pittsburgh last year and my co-manager and I drafted in NYC. We had the great pleasure of sitting next to Scott Simonetti. It didn't bother us one bit about how hammered he got and didn't affect our draft. We finished 2nd in the league. I moved to Tampa in November so we drafted in Orlando this year. I'll be honest I didn't see a difference in the draft from '08-'09. As usual this is typical "ESPN East Coast Basis" at it's best. People think if NYC is involved it's the best. By the way, Ray's Pizza sucks. As always over-rated since it's NYC based.

In Las Vegas League 5 I drafted Fowler, Schafer, Cahill, Anderson, and Perry. Saved our league a ton of FAAB.

New York is and always will be the greatest city in this country and one of the great cities of the world.....

It is the capital of finance, the arts, cuisine, industry, business, architecture, etc. etc. etc.

Now in regards to baseball, New York has produced over 30 world champions, I don't believe any other city has even 10. Therefore it is also the capital of baseball.

This isn't New York arrogance speaking, just stating well known facts.

Now what does any of this have to do with picking up Chan Ho Park?
