Alex Gordon will undergo surgery for a tear in his right hip labral cartilage.

More bad news for the Royals. Mark Teahen will probably make another position switch -- if not now, then when Jose Guillen returns -- this one back to third base. Alberto Callaspo and Willie Bloomquist can split time at second base. There's no timetable for Gordon's return, but it figures that he'll miss at least two months.

WOW!

Wow is right - I have him on one team - and almost took him in the main - but went for Napoli instead.

Dodged a bigger bullet there.

Utley, Rodriguez, Gordon. Year of the Hip!

[/QUOTE]Actually, I would probably put Gram's ahead of Gordon right now in the rankings. :D

The point was we all did not know what exactly to expect from Utley's injury as there just had not been that many injuries of this type before. Then in 2009, at least three starting infielders end up with similar types of hip injuries. Stange. Not anal fissure strange, but strange.
