Anyone heard what the issue is? As someone who has had 6 eye surgeries, my heart goes out to him as hopefully it is nothing serious
According to Will Carroll of Baseball Prospectus, Brian McCann's eye issues may end up landing him on the disabled list.
McCann hasn't had a hit in four straight games and wasn't able to play on Saturday. He has complained of blurriness, but hasn't received an official diagnosis. Carroll says more information will be revealed Monday.

He isn't playing today either.
Would be tough to put him in the lineup for next week if no news is heard by tomorrow.

Heard the same thing about D/L stint due to eye problem. Not a McCann owner but I hope it is a minor thing. He is a great player and regardless of fantasy points etc you hate seeing not a pun a great player's career in jeopardy. Hope he is okay

More bad news for McCann owners.
Brian McCann's ongoing eye problems are expected to land him on the disabled list Saturday.
The Braves have called catcher Clint Sammons from Class AAA Gwinnett in anticipation of the likely McCann move to the DL. "We’ll see how he feels tomorrow, but I don’t think it’ll change," manager Bobby Cox said of McCann’s condition. McCann is expected to see another eye specialist next week and could wind up having Lasik surgery.

I was selfishly always thinking..."not being able to see the ball clearly will make it quite a problem to get hits"...but thinking about it more...(although he has armor on)...having a guy hurl 90+mph "Speedballs"
at you could be dangerous if they are blurry!
