Okay, it's time to start preparing for Draft Day and we want to help you get started right now. Ron Shandler of BaseballHQ.com has been kind enough to give us six 2005 Baseball Forecaster books that we'll randomly give away over the next two weeks. The books are $23.95 and we'll have an ad link on the home page before the end of the day for anyone who wants to order one. I'll randomly pick a few names of guys who have already signed up for the 2005 NFBC and announce the winners on this thread.
I'm going to pick the first winner unrandomly right now as I've always rewarded our first signup with a prize. Last year, Rey Diaz was our first official NFBC signup and we gave him an autographed Alex Rodriguez baseball. This year Ken Bayes of Mansfield, Ohio was our first 2005 NFBC signup, hitting the "sign me up" button minutes after we opened the registration link on Oct. 4th. The least I can do for him is send him a free copy of the 2005 Baseball Forecaster!!!
In case you don't know, Ron has been publishing the Forecaster since 1986, making this his 19th year of the Forecaster. It's an excellent book with unique analysis and 2005 projections of every single player as it has developed sabermetric applications for fantasy league play. It's a solid read that will help you immensely in your draft preparations.
Enjoy Ken, and five more winners will be announced soon.
