Not that this guy is doing much this year but more bad news for Hamilton owners like myself.

I sure wish I hadn't drafted him in a couple of leagues this year. :(

Josh Hamilton will see a specialist and undergo an MRI in an effort to diagnose his abdominal/groin problems.

The hope is that the test will rule out a hernia. "We'll know in the next couple of days," Hamilton said. "Right now I'm hurt and sore and can't run." If Hamilton has to return to the DL, Andruw Jones, David Murphy and Hank Blalock would receive additional at-bats.

It doesn't look good for Hamilton. :(

NEW YORK -- Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton is headed to the disabled list with a strained groin that could sideline him from two weeks to two months.

Hamilton had an MRI on Tuesday and was examined by Dr. John Preskitt. The injury is much like a sports hernia, and Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said a second opinion is needed before it is determined whether Hamilton needs surgery.

Daniels said rest and anti-inflammatory medication might alleviate the injury, sustained May 17 when Hamilton crashed into an outfield wall while making a leaping catch against the Los Angeles Angels

Surgery tomorrow for torn abdominal muscle. Out 4-6 weeks, as per the FW St-Telegram.
