The switch-hitting catcher is set to head out to Bradenton, Fla., on Tuesday, where he will continue to work his way back from mid-April right wrist surgery. Though nothing is set in stone, it appears as if Doumit likely won't rejoin the Pirates until after the All-Star break.
"Nothing says that if everything goes great and he swings the bat like he never missed a day, that it couldn't be the series before, but I think the more realistic date is the series after the All-Star break," Huntington said.
2 more weeks of crap billy! {if doumit doesn't suffer a setback, which can likely happen with a wrist injury}. i'm hoping he can come back and not lose any power. i have him in a couple leagues.
