Perry Van Hook has created a unique mock draft on our National Fantasy Football Championship boards and it's something we can certainly do here in the NFBC next year. In fact, we can do it a couple of times, starting up a mock draft in November and maybe another one closer to Draft Day.
The premise of the mock draft is to get a consensus from the Message Board followers for each pick starting in Round 1, Pick 1 and continuing forward. Interestingly, in football this year there is no consensus on even the FIRST PICK. I'm sure baseball will be pretty similar once we get moving in the first round.
Anyway, check out this thread involving our NFFC Mock Draft and be ready for something like this to appear on the NFBC boards next off-season:

Not to look to far forward, but any chance of a Salary Draft where you pay $x per $million in real 2009 salaries?

That is a totally different game than anything Greg runs, but if there was enough intere$t, it could certainly be done here.....

Isn't this similar to the experimental leagues that KJ Duke ran this year???
Come to think of it - it would be interesting to get an update on how those leagues are going from some of the participants.

In the first league that KJ setupwe have an amazing race going for 2nd and 3rd as well as Manager of the Year. While I would never concede, Steve Jupinka has opened up a 20pt lead. His team was the 2nd highest payroll team while Bobby J's was 3rd and is fighting with us(4th highest), Eddie G and Lance(a cheaper squad) and Greg Morgan one of the cheapest teams of all. Manager of the year winner at the moment would be Team Morgan, but it has been a tight race all year long up until recently. Very fun league....

Spy [/QUOTE]I'm glad to hear those leagues are going well and I'll do all I can to work with KJ Duke on an article with the results at season's end. That would be great stuff and could possibly even lead to some national mainstream media attention. I'll do all I can to get that done.
As for next year, it's possible that we could run that format with basically a set price for our take rather than a percentage of the revenue. This is a very unique format and I think it would need to be dealt with differently. I'll respect KJ Duke's idea to work with him to make this part of the NFFC offerings if he wouldn't mind. Stay tuned.

Look at the standings and think of the people you'd be leaving out with your standards. I'd be interested in the opinions of several of them.
