2009 NFBC Weekly Prizes Announced: From Fanball.com

Okay, I totally apologize for waiting until the end of the season to provide our 2009 Weekly Prizes, but I'm happy to report that Fanball.com has donated 26 memorabilia items to cover our 2009 NFBC Main Event Weekly prizes. Fanball.com was not part of the 2009 baseball season and did not have to do this, but they obviously did not want accomplishments that we had promoted going unfulfilled. So thanks Ryan for stepping up this weekend for this one.

As folks know, since 2004 we have provided very nice Weekly Prizes to our main event high point total winners. We started with Upper Deck Authenticated providing items that were hundreds and even thousands of dollars in value. We did that for a few years and when they opted not to continue as our sponsor we worked with FansEdge.com last year to get MLB Replica Jerseys for each weekly winner.

The plan this year was to continue that relationship, but terms of our deal together got a little complicated and when our contact there left we were stuck in e-mail hell. We got passed onto another person who then contacted a different person at our company who then couldn't talk any longer when the sale to Fanball.com got serious and then next thing you know Tom and I are in a new office with no Weekly Prizes. There, that's the short of the long story!!

We always knew we'd honor these prizes, but we needed some help from Ryan. So this week he donated 26 memorabilia items and whoever won a weekly prize in the NFBC main event should contact Tom at [email protected] to claim any one of the three items below:

Each winner can choose from one of the following items:

** Evan Longoria Autographed 16X20 Photo

** Manny Ramirez Autographed 8X10 Photo Featuring 500 HR Inscription

** Dustin Pedroia Autographed Baseball

Thanks Ryan and congrats to all of our NFBC Weekly Winners. We'll announce the prizes for the 2010 NFBC Weekly Winners BEFORE the season and we'll even find some prizes for the Online Championship Weekly Winners in 2010. Thanks all.

thanks ryan...much appreciated...eventhough i did not get a weekly winner in 2009...i expect multiple weekly winners in 2010 eventhough i may have 413(RT will have 2 teams) disbelievers
