Things I noticed today

Post by Raskol » Tue Oct 20, 2009 12:46 pm

The boards have been eerily silent for awhile now. Here's why I think this has happened:

The Desperados tried to relocate to NYC, but were denied entrance by Greg. They've since retreated to their lair on the Cape and are retooling. They plan to emerge at Bellagio in March as an evil Jedi Knight with chronic asthma.

Walla doesn't think Teddy has sobered up yet. Maybe he hasn't, but if you can party hardy for 46 years of Senatorial service, more power to you. Hey, I voted for him when I lived in Mass. Of course, he was the only name on the ballot, but that's another story.

If I have any players next year who are approaching a 0 digit in any counting stat, I'm starting them until they reach said milestone. Then I'll sit them until they get back up to 8 or 9.

Greg's been watching Julia and Julia on endless repeat until he has the perfect recipes for draft day snackage. Steak tartare and escargot, anyone?

Before next March, I'm buying some pigs. Those critters can pick.

Tom and I have been eerily silent only because we're already writing player profiles for our first Fantasy Sports Magazine. I was going to post some nuggets I've already uncovered with first basemen and will do so when I've gone through a few positions. This is a fun process, but one where you have to be buried in a cave for a few weeks and away from humankind. :D Not that I would consider the folks on the NFBC boards humankind, but you get my drift. ;)

Monday in the NFBC Boardroom

"Ok, 1st up...

Walla - we need 3 Shandler attacks, 2 retirement, and 1 loose cannon post

Gekk - lay off the football boards. There aren't enough roll eye graemlins to go around with all the Luck talk of yours. Get back here with your world domination bravado

Sportsbettingman - where have you been? Getting dry or getting high ? 4 words: Con SPEAR a SEE ! Get crackin.

CC Desperados - isn't it time for one of your 2 hour chats on how to win in the NFBC ? Keep coming in 3rd and no one is going to listen anymore. Stop posting and start studying

Doughboy - Congrats, you get the employee of the month award. The picture of Jabba the slutt eating doritos is yours.

Quahogs - run down and get me a large Dunkin coffee. You know how I like it. Hop hop !

KJ Duke - we need less how to run the economy trap and more why we should draft Milton Bradley yammer.

King of Q - stop with the Doug and Leah Remini pics. If you didn't have that damn show you wouldnt be able to get within 10 miles of her.

Sack - Find out who spilled to Kessenich yet? Guy writes a whole book about us but no one talked huh ?? Bullchit ! It was probably one of the Wodays

Lastly, remember, the $50 event fee is the Sigourney Weaver - Now let's be careful out there ! "

I noticed that it's October 20th, and I'm still looking at the NFBC boards. In October.

The buzz is back! :D
