Thoughts on some of these older 1st baseman: D Lee, Berkman, Konerko, Pena, Dunn, LaRoche, and Huff. Probably a few of them arent worth talking about.

And since its a little quiet how about 3rd: Beltre, A. Ramirez, Derosa, Chipper, Figgins, Young, Youkilis, and for the heck of it Gordon.

thanks again

Chris

If Greg ever took the handcuffs off you, what style would you use in the main event?

Chris As far as the first basemen, I like Lee and Berkman a lot. I'm willing to gamble on Pena or Dunn if I'm strong with my average (I'll need to be if I have them). The rest don't do much for me.

At third, Ramirez is a stud, Figgins is a nice value if you have good power, Youkilis is solid. Chipper's ADP is so low right now I think he's becoming a good value pick.

[/QUOTE]Gotcha. My approach is pretty consistent when it comes to my baseball drafts. I tend to favor power so I want to be strong in that category early. I'll want to have at least two stud starters and one stud closer. Then I start filling in, getting enough speed and average to complement the core group. And I want to pursue 2-3 upside picks at various points in the draft. I'm willing to overpay if necessary for a guy I want.

Not sure there's anything revolutionary there but that's how I would approach it.

Tom-

Rank these rivalries in terms of hilariousness:

1. Quahogs v. CC's

2. Walla v. Shandler

3. Joba v. Youkilis

As far as actual baseball questions go, can you name two closers who will be moved by the trade deadline...

Everyone else.

:D

I could see Kerry Wood and Trevor Hoffman being dealt. Wood because the Indians might try to get some value from him if he's healthy and productive and Hoffman if the Brewers fall out of contention.

That's it for now folks. I'll try to stop back in tonight but we'll keep having these chats a lot more going forward, including some industry friends who we're hoping will stop by.
