MDC as a draft site.

Nothing has changed from past years. I'm doing a slow draft and have not noted any upgrades. It does seem to be more buggy this year. I've been knocked off connection several times. Others have reported no problem. I would say for a 125 league it would do. I'd never ever place a $1000 on the line here though.

I like MDC. But I agree, John.

The default ranking is not up to par

It only shows another player as being on 'auto' when that player is still connected to MDC

We got spoiled with Geoff, phone calls go unanswered at night

Upgrading the site with more stats and more info would be a plus.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

I'm not sure why Fanball just doesn't use their draft software (unless it has its own problems). It would be cheaper and I agree that MDC is adequate at best. 3 years ago they were pretty sound, but there have been no improvements since then.

I actually wish they would simply have a player listing, maybe alphabetically. The MDC drafts become stale and predictable due to the default rankings.

If people are going to complain about the rankings, it should be regarding the players who are at the very end.....very valuable players. For football and baseball, we always have to scroll past a bunch of "no-names" until the we get to the bottom where there are good players.

Also, I've never been knocked off MDC.

Are you sad when you are happy? Or do you limit it to being happy when you are sad?

FYI I've been logged into mdc for the better part of 4 straight days without being knocked off. I guess there is zero chance it could be your isp. Or did you quit them too?

We are using MDC.com for the Slow Drafts and appreciate everything they have done for us over the last six years and what they have done for us so far this year. But we're still working on a few things and we should have an announcement soon about our plans. We're still talking some things through. Stay tuned.

If anyone is having trouble with a Slow Draft and you can't get commissioner help, email Geoff STein at [email protected] and he will step in. Geoff has commish access for all of our Slow Drafts. I hope this helps.

The new guy at MDC, Dan, has been just as good as Geoff. Top notch service IMO and I don't impress easily.
