Test of the New Draft Site

Post by Jim Christie » Tue Feb 16, 2010 12:36 pm

I read where Ryan was testing the draft site at 4:30 today; how did that work out; I was somewhat disappointed that we are not using the site for the Hot Tub League.

I'll let Ryan speak for how the test worked out, but I wanted to let everyone know that the draft site is receiving it's final few tweaks -- likely as I type this.

Needless to say, we didn't want to roll out anything that was 100 percent ready; we want it to be 110 percent ready.

Also, we didn't want people's maiden voyage with the software to be a pay draft. If things go right, we'll be mocking by the weekend, and everyone will know the ins and outs of the draft room by the time next week's satellites roll around.

I can't wait to present the new software to you -- it's good stuff!

I still can not find the new draft site. Is this up and working so that we can try it out?

Any chance some slow drafts you run next week will use the new software?

All remaining slow drafts for baseball will be held on MDC.

We had another mock draft today on the new draft software site and this is almost ready to rock 'n roll. It's really working well. I think we just need to load in our default rankings the way we want them and then get you folks mocking. There are just minor tweaks left.

Geoff will explain the software fully once we have it live and show you all of the neat features for finding the players and categories you want. This is going to be fun. Look for access soon.
