NFBC Main Event Is At 405+ Teams!!!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Mar 02, 2010 8:58 am

If you were in the office pool and had the correct date and time of Tuesday, March 2nd at 3 p.m. EST for the official sellout of the NFBC main event, YOU WIN!!! :D

We are excited to announce that we filled all 405 spots in the NFBC main event this afternoon. I will update the list now. The good news is that we have reached our goal for a SIXTH STRAIGHT SEASON and now have 27 full leagues. However, we do not have full leagues in each city and thus will keep the registration page open for all six venues because we need to try and fill up as many cities with full 15-team leagues as possible. That's best for you as players and best for the contest and there's no doubt that demand is still out there for this contest. Additional prize money will be awarded as a result.

The only main event contest that has filled perfectly and is no longer available is the NFBC Online Main Event. We have 45 teams for that and will create three full leagues there. Thanks all. We will continue to work hard with these next 15 signups to fill a few more venues perfectly.

CONGRATS to all of you!!! YOU made this year's event a huge success. You trusted in this plan and you supported the NFBC like never before. We have plenty of other events to fill up yet, but so far so good with the NFBC Classic. We are at 405, but will try for 420 and see what the cities look like if we get there. But no matter what, the first 405 are locked in for good. Congrats to all of you and good luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prizes.

Congrats to Greg, Tom and Ryan!

I've gotten a first-hand view as to how hard these guys work, and can tell everyone that the success is well deserved.

A huge thank you to the NFBC community, as well, for trusting in us to provide you with the best Fantasy Baseball experience possible. I can promise you that you won't be disappointed.

How many additional signups do you have who are sitting on the fence right now?

Great news ! So all you really need is 5 more 3/20 sign ups and 10 more 3/27. Sounds very doable.

I'm happy for you guys...I know you worked hard for this.

I'm also happy for the rest of us as our favorite contest is obviously going very strong.

Keep up the good work and now let's get that Ultimate filled for Saturday or Sunday night.... ;)

Congrats guys! This is obviously very exciting news, as no one could have anticipated selling out this quickly. As others have asked, how many more signups do you plan on taking still, and when can we anticipate getting our draft spots? Thanks again guys!

To echo Greg's thoughts, thanks to all of you for making this the most exciting NFBC season ever. As the numbers indicate, your response to what we're offering has been overwhelmingly positive. There's a lot going on right now and Greg and I both feel as if our heads are spinning out of control at times but it's a lot of fun seeing all the signups coming in every day. I've also been talking to a lot of people in recent days and everyone is really fired up about the upcoming season. This is great to hear.

We're keeping the Classic signups open so we'll see where that takes us. But don't forget we also have plenty of other offerings available with spots open in the Auction and Live and Online Double Play events. So there's something for everyone and now's the time to jump in if you haven't already or add a little something extra to the package you've already signed up for.

Gonna be tough to sit for 2 1/2 wks waiting Right now we are 405+ and we definitely need to get to 420 to sell out the first weekend. We are a handful short of making that work for eight full leagues that weekend and I have no doubt that will happen in the next week, maybe even the next few days. So when we get to where we need to be for the first weekend, then we can figure out the rest.

I understand the anticipation, but spring training has just begun. We'll get your draft spots to you sooner than EVER BEFORE. Just be a little patient and I can already see how this is going to play out in the various cities. If the balls fall right, this could be a perfect storm in 2010. ;) Let's see if we can make it happen.
