Atlantic City Main Event IS NOW FULL!!!

Post by Tom Kessenich » Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:04 am

We had an owner drop out of two events in Atlantic City so spots have become available for the Classic and the Auction Championship on March 19th at 4 p.m. EST. If you're interested in one or both of these spots sign up at nfbc.fanball.com.

Let's close these league up again.

Hey Q

The new NFBC nickname for you. Where are we going for dinner after the draft? Are we running like we did in NY for football? See you in AC.

Just when I thought we had this one full, we lost a veteran NFBC owner to financial reasons for the NFBC Main Event in Atlantic City. C'mon, who wants to jump in and fill up this third league for us? We want to do this by the weekend so that we can pick draft spots next week. Sound good?

Let's do it East Coasters!!!

Dinner at the sports bar at the wild west next to Ballys will be fine for me. No offense to cozy Italian places 15 blocks away in the center of manhattan!

I have pools of players I like. Having done multiple pay drafts up till this point has helped me design my game plan better than any other year. In prior years I drafted players I wanted and tried to fit them in the game plan. This year I'll let the game plan dictate the players I draft.

[/QUOTE]You had top 10 success 2 years in a row. I'm assuming you used the target approach for them but can't say for sure. I didn't think you would abandon that after 1 season. That's a significant shift in philosophy. Welcome to the dark side Luke ;)

Now, back to our regularly scheduled show:

Any luck with signup #45 in Atlantic City?

What is the plan regarding the unfilled Double Plays for Friday and Sunday?

Appears Friday has the best shot at going forward is it possible that these turn into semi phone leagues?

The Sunday Auction in AC has managed to hit nine. I've read that phone hook-ups for auctions are out of the question, ( which, to me, is 100% the correct choice ) any last minute chances to recruit and or merge from any other area?

Okay, this is a bit frustrating, but it's time to roll out this thread again. We were full with three main event leagues in Atlantic City a week ago and then two owners switched out over the weekend. Now we're at 43 teams and this will hold up our first weekend draft announcements. We can't announce St. Louis and Las Vegas until Atlantic City is a done deal.

Now, for years folks have told me that I HAD TO go to Atlantic City, that it would be a slam dunk for baseball and football. We're here now and I'd love to get three full leagues, another full auction league on Sunday, March 21st and full Live Double Plays. We're struggling to fill those as well. So what can we do to fill these up?? C'mon, AC lovers, come through or it will be tough to come back!!

TWO MORE MAIN EVENT SPOTS and we announce all first weekend draft spots. If I can't get two live bodies there, I have no choice but to fill in with two call-ins, which I REALLY DON'T want to do. We have plenty of people who will do this via phone, but I'd be surprised if we can't find two more owners for the main event. Let's do this and get draft picks announced Thursday or Friday at the latest.

It's on Atlantic City now folks. Help us push for two saviors!! Are they out there? :D

What is the deadline on this? The draft is in 10 days. I mean we're not going to wait another week for this are we?
