His pitching is as thin as a toothpick. Yes on Vandenhurk. I agree that the pitching will be the potential downfall of this team. I was facilitating the league next to yours and during the second break (and first) many owners checked out Ron's draft. They were at our table as well checking out Cory Schwartz's and Lawr Michaels' teams. As we started the third section I commented to my table "Ron Shandler's epitaph: He believed in Andrew Sonnanstine" :D

30. Carlos Carrasco Short on steals, you better hope you are correct on Wandy, and you need to thank the fantasy baseball Gods (heck you may be one of them) for Anderson in the 10th.

A lot of things I like about it too.

What do you see in Vandenhurk and Sonnanstine that the rest of us are missing?

Vandenhurk gets sent down today- Is he a buy and hold or faab fodder?

How in the heck did Anderson fall to the 10th?

Was positionality with Zobrist, Prado, and Sandoval a concern in joining a non-trading league?

A little side bet with Walla Walla on a higher finish in the Overall?

Lets say, a free Forecaster for Walla Walla and some Washington apples for you?

I got an email on Friday night from our contact there who said "SOOOOOOOOOO COOL" in the subject head. She thought the setup was very good and was impressed with the auctions and the draft formats. We will definitely talk with them again about hosting this at Citi Field...unless a better offer comes around, of course. ;) Anyone have the Yankees' number? :D Greg, I don't think you want your customers roaming the streets of the Bronx looking for parking... .

Great, great job on Citifield!

Stick with a winner!!!! ;)

30. Carlos Carrasco This team will be way short in strikeouts IMO. Even if Wandy tops 200 and Anderson reaches say 180 - a very generous estimate, the rest of the starters have to K 150-160 each for this team to be competitive in that category. Harang & Davis maybe maybe could do that in their prime, but not this year. Starsburg definitely not with 4 months of pitching. And the rest of the staff? Feldman is not going to K more than 120. I don't even want to speculate on Kennedy, Vandenhurk or Sonnastine.

Good luck though.

I feel responsible for letting Ron take Anderson, even though I picked tenth, because I needed pitching as much as him but chose to block him and a couple others from Andy LaRoche instead, not thinking Anderson would fall 7 more picks. Now I just need Chris Davis to do a Chris Davis and the move will be justified. Ron told me after the draft that he would have taken LaRoche. Thats what this competition is all about.

Good luck Ron and thank you again for signing my forecaster.

Citifield venue a home run!

We get, what, like $1000 FAAB to spend during the season? Given that half of all our rosters are going to end up on the DL at some point, I am quite comfortable going into 2010 with this group of 30 as a starting point. From what I can tell, no better or worse than anyone else's. Besides, I have inside knowledge that Ryan Braun's back is going to put him on the shelf for half the season and Carlos Carrasco is going to win the Cy Young Award. Here, on March 30, I dare anyone to prove me wrong. :D

He should pay a little more attention to her.

One other thought I know this was the 2008 season, but did Jed say Sheff was going to go 30/30....

what chest? you weren't thinking a 39 year old who never stole 30 bases and was a bit removed from 30 hr seasons wasn't a good bet to go 30-30? so cynical.

his wife was kinda cute.
