Not a great way to finish up the spring, 9 ERs in 2.1 innings. It is a good thing that the regular season has not started or he could turn out to be the 2010 version of Chien Ming Wang.

I do not own Wandy in any league...Not because I didnt want him, he just hasnt made my rosters this season..

But ST stats rarely mean anything. Especially for established pitchers. If anyone decided to look further into Wandy earlier, you would have realized that he has been aggressively trying to finetune a new changeup all spring...

Established Pitchers are often tinkering with new pitches and different mixes in ST.....The time you are supposed to try to work things out..Before the season starts.

if his velocity was down significantly or his pitches had no uuuummmph, then i would be concerned....

He is a 60% Fb 35% Curveball pitcher...the only other pitch he threw last year was a 6% changeup..

Staff has him throwing more changeups this spring in an effort to refine it... Its the worst pitch he throws at just over 5% of the time....So it doesnt surprise me that as he is tossing his weak Changeup in ST, it is getting whacked around.

Once the season starts and the money is on the line, do you think he will be going to his Changeup like he has in ST? I dont think so...

I wish I was drafting after the news and Wandy was falling because of it...Because I would be buying...

"Wandy Rodriguez finished the spring in disastrous fashion after giving up nine runs in 2 1/3 innings Wednesday against the Braves.

Rodriguez, who has been experimenting with a new changeup, will enter the season 1-4 with a 12.10 ERA. He allowed 34 hits and five homers in his 19 1/3 innings. There haven't been any concerns about his performance leaking out of Astros camp, but maybe that will change now. We're not dropping him on our draft boards just yet."

When are they planing on making this move? Great, three weeks into the season, Wandy will have been dropped 2 rounds on the Rotoworld draft board.
