NFBC 2010 Chicago Video

Post by Navel Lint » Thu Apr 01, 2010 1:42 pm

This past weekend I participated in three live events at the Cubby Bear in Chicago. While I was there, I attempted to shoot some video.

Over the three events I was able to get 29 minutes of boring video, luckily I’ve been able to pare it down to 9 minutes of boring video. :D

The video starts with the Friday night Auction and runs through the Saturday Main Event and Double Play.

I want to thank the owners of NFBC teams that put up with me as I walked around the room shooting this footage. I wish I would have “interviewed” some of the players and gotten their reactions to the drafts but I didn’t want to bother anyone and put them on the spot, maybe next year. ;)

Thanks again to Fanball, NFBC team owners, and $100,000 NFFC Champ Rob Benetti who helped shoot some of the video.

BTW, this is the unofficial video even though I know there won’t be an official version. We didn’t have any celebrities or camera crew in Chicago. Relax Greg, that’s just a joke. ;) We all had a good time and we even had a band to provide live entertainment. :D

Enjoy…………………………….

Great video. Looks like the Chicago folks were having fun and Mike and Co. took good care of them.

Nice job, Russ. You totally caught me by surprise during that break in the auction and I just started blabbing something. :D

Russel, you should have showed at least a couple of picks from yourself.

Everybody, drafting against Russel is a treat. Every time he calls a players name it is with the assuredness that that player will hit 40 homers or get 20 wins. Great stuff. :D

However that voice was missing and turned more into Olive Oyl's voice when he half whispered Kyle Farnsworth name for the 30th pick
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Kaline jersey = Gary Cutler. Authentic jersey.
