Jeff Clement At Catcher

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Apr 04, 2010 10:27 am

Okay, we checked all of the rosters today and there are 35 teams that put Jeff Clement at catcher between Thursday and Saturday. Clement's position eligibility was not correct during that time and unfortunately 35 teams took advantage of the mistake in our data base.

All of those teams have legal lineups without Clement at Catcher, so I am contacting all of them now to advise them to take Clement out of that position. If you have Clement at catcher, please make this change immediately before we have to do it. Clement doesn't play tonight, so we have time to rectify this, but I am in the office now and reaching out to all 35 owners.

Thanks all and sorry for the confusion. I will never forget -- or forgive -- Jeff Clement for these problems he's given the NFBC!! :D Thanks and good luck all, but make this change ASAP.

i have him on my online double play team and he is still eligible at catcher (but sitting on my bench). also read of a league where chone figgins is eligible at second base? hope these problems get fixed before rosters are set tomorrow morning. good luck guys... because if people are taking advantage of these mistakes and a whole scoring period/week go by... all hell will break loose..

This happened a few years ago.

I can't remember who the player was.

KOQ, you're the resident NFBC historian, do you remember?

YES. Just the post I expected. Armaggedeon again!!

I just said I'm at work right now and contacting everyone. If we have to move these players ourselves we will. Everyone has legal rosters and it can be done. Sheesh, thanks for the advice.

We are looking into Chone Figgins now.

Nice graphic GG. Looks like the pyrotechnic show in central MO tonight.

Opening day flag detail at Kaufman again this year. Three years in a row I've done this and hopefully this will be third year the Royals win the OD game. Regardless, it's still nice to be able to walk out onto center field and see the place packed with fans. For one brief moment its a magical season for the Royals. This is one of the things I will miss about moving to DC.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
