will everyone be completely honest????
For Sunday, I had Scutaro as my MI and A. Jackson and Maybin as 2 of my starting OF. Very late Sunday night I started Iwamura, Teahan and Fukudome for this week. To my surprise, this afternoon Scutaro, A. Jackson and Maybin were put back in my starting line-up when the FAAB was re-run. Because 3 of these players had early games today, I had no opportunity to re-install my correct line-up.
OK, I have seen messages from Greg and Tom saying that I can e-mail what happened and they will change my line-up.
Ethical dilemna. I know what Teahan, Iwamura and Maybin have already done in their games today. Maybe I do not send in the e-mail to have the line-up I set last night put back in to place.
Now, Iwamura vs Scutaro, Fukudome vs Maybin and Teahan vs A. Jackson for 4 days is no big deal and at this point I do not really care who is in my line-up from this group until Thursday.
The bigger point is this. What is the best solution???? I am not sure. But, some people who are working may not discover that their line-up is incorrect until after they know the results from the games today. Someone may discover that the FAAB re-run put someone in their line-up incorrectly that went 2 for 4 so they decide not to inform Greg or Tom about the error.
What possible solution is there to uphold the integrity of our leagues????

None. what can you do?

Letting people make roster moves when some results are already known is obviously a very uncomfortable thing. But I can not think of a better idea than the way Greg and Tom are handling things right now.
After we get through this, a topic for another day. When the rosters were loaded, the set line-up function did not work. When the FAAB first came out the players I wanted to drop kept changing on their own. When I first tried to use the live scoring it did not work. The first run of the FAAB has not gone well. Why didn't the techs make sure all of this was functioning properly at least a month before Opening Day?????

Given what happened, I think this is the best solution. I'm going to be honest, and I think most people are going to be honest. If someone is scummy enough to cheat this situation, screw it- I'm not going to worry about it. It sucks, but it's just one day, and if they want to cheat, they have to live with themselves. I think most people here are going to be honest, and screw the ones that both aren't and have the opportunity to cheat in this situation... So hopefully now we can get on with the games...

I set my rosters before all the moves started this morning. They haven't been changed. To tell the truth I don't know what is accepted and what is not. You can change if it was before some point that the FAAB was fixed. I think.
I'll just let it slide for the first week and hope like hell I can get the results next Sunday!!!!

I'll just let it slide for the first week and hope like hell I can get the results next Sunday!!!! I found three roster errors on my various teams. I sent two of them to Tom to correct and he did right away. Both of the errors I sent in had no impact on stats because they were a pitcher that had yet to pitch and a batter that was 0 for 1 at the time.
I did not send in the third error. This morning I replaced a Red Sox and a Yankee from last night with my two planned starters. I saved the moves. At some point the rosters reverted back to my Yankee and Sox. My two ‘planned starters’ each produced usable stats today but I didn’t catch the error until well after the games started and I don’t want to go back now after knowing the outcome.
Will it hurt me?
Maybe the Yank and Sox (actually I replaced him now with a third player that hasn’t played) will produce better stats. Maybe. I’m just going to live with it and hope for the best.

This is the email I just got from an NFBC veteran and he's not the first one to say this to us:
Just wanted to give you a head's up that I started Lannan. I acuqired him last night and put him in my starting lineup early this morning over A. Cook. I just got home from work to discover that A. Cook is still my starter. Lannan got shelled but I started him and shoudl eat the stats he absorbed.
You guys do a terrific job and sometime crap happens. I had that kind of Monday today too!
We made the lineup change as requested.
Maybe some people didn't do the same thing and I've received emails from folks accusing others of not inserting Lannan into their lineup after FAAB was run. I can't force him into starting lineups now. It's not perfect, but we did the best we could with the seven games that went off before we could lock lineups. And some people are still as honest as I expected.

Haren now is bringing me a few steps back from the ledge.
