How about something like this?

I'm still thinking about the pitching... Thank you! 99.9% of everyone would agree (with 1 exception)

Maybe Fanball can highlight or bold the scoring stats as well so our eye is immediately drawn to the stats that count.

See how that works....

I like Snord's post from the 08 style. That is how it has been for us in the past with STATS. That would work.

I'm still thinking about the pitching... For me this is a mess Glenn. I saw from another post that this is yahoo's style, which explains why there is a certain faction that likes it. I don't use yahoo for baseball so it looks foreign to me.

This is Yahoo's Boxscore order.

AB R H RBI HR BB K SB LOB Avg

IP H R ER BB K HR WHIP ERA

So far, this is the best I've seen. Just one opinion, I know.

honestly I love a box score look..just not for this.

The categories that COUNT in this contest should be shown first..and all other stats can be add ons or whatever...after the fact.

The focus should always be on what COUNTS. The box score look just doesnt work.

I was getting used to the jumbled mess from before but now its just a complete mess.

Focus on the categories that matter...thats what I paid for..

I think the biggest problem is that the live scoring page is just plain ugly and hard to read in general, whatever order the stats are in.

* The columns are different widths so some numbers are smashed together while others have gaping spaces.

* There are open spaces rather than zeros.

* Nothing lines up with anything else.

* 4 zeros for daily era and whip (2 is sufficient)

* Vertical lines, please use vertical lines.

With all the effort to make other parts of the site look good, the live scoring page looks like it was designed by a dyslexic using a typewriter with sticky keys.

Still, I hope we look into somehow delineating the stats that count from those that don't.

Seperating them, highlighting them, bolding them....all three. Doesn't really matter, but somehow it appears many believe it should be done.

Bottom line: What we have now will not work. It looks awful. Although my preference is to lump the scoring categories together, I really don't care what order the stats are in if one of the following is done: 1) seperate the scoring categories with a vertical bar, or 2) bold the scoring categories so they are easy to find.

As KJ and others mentioned before, the formatting needs to be improved. And why the hell is HBP on live scoring? Is that really important? IMO, live scoring should have the actual scoring stats with H/AB and IP. That's it. For live scoring I don't care about the rest.

One helpful addition would be for game times to show up on live scoring under status. If I go to live scoring right now (9:45 AM) all it shows is who each team plays. For teams that had the day off (yesterday) it showed who they played today? It should not show any team if there is no game. And if probable starters could be marked I'd be very happy.

What about an optional check box so each participant can hide or unhide the "non-fantasy" stats?

The problem is not the order of stats, its the page. Visually, Kate Smith in a bikini.

[/QUOTE]Hard to go there is the best way to put it. I try and go there and just end up getting frustrated with the lack of usable info compared to last year and leave. We should be able to see exactly what we have moved up or down in during the night, both in total league points and per category.

The way it is now, you have to know exactly where you were before the day started both overall and per category.

LOL. This group is never going to be satisfied and at this point I am just giving up and taking what is out there and will try to get used to it. But having said that, when I work with stats for my projections and my cheat sheet I use the following orders.

AB H R HR RBI SB AVG

IP W S K ERA WHIP

Just my personal preference.

Glenn cant agree more. i dont care about BB's and K's for my hitters. If i want to see them then i will leave my fantasy stats page and look at a box score. i dont want a box score jumbling up my fantasy stats. we are playing fantasy here. not reading box scores.
