Another FAAB cycle and ...

Post by viper » Sun May 02, 2010 3:17 am

May is here and FAAB still has issues. Yes, I know the IT staff is working on things but this is May after all.

First, we still cannot see YTD MLB numbers for bench players. This has been a request by many since early April. After that "difficult to program feature" is available, I hope 7-day, 14-day and 28-day numbers become available. They all are if you click on a player but why should you need to do that. This is a basic feature but multiple bells & whistles seeming have had priority.

I do not trust the eligibility shown by Fanball. There have been instances of errors and those types of errors can make for open holes in your lineup. When any doubt exist, I check the eligibility for any free agents I bid on to make sure they are actually eligible for the position shown. I don't recall ever doing that even in year one of the NFBC.

I don't like the way the watch list functions. I do not even want to see available players from one league even if they are available in my other leagues. The lists should be totally unique.

Loading is still slow and after doing various sorts of the free agents [some which cause the entire list to be reloaded], my browser freezes on occasion. This is the only site where any consistent level of freezing occurs. At least I have Firefox. I find it hard to believe that the best solution for the IE issues are change browsers. That may be a solution but it should never ever have to be suggested/recommended.

The problem is I am getting used to these inconveniences. The whole NFBC concept is wonderful and, in time, things should settle down. My thoughts are they should have already settled down. I dread the football draft weekend and that first week of football.
