Who Is Leading The NFBC Main Event?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue May 04, 2010 3:30 am

I've had a few people who aren't competing in the NFBC this year ask me if I can post the leaders in the main event since they are watching this contest from afar. It's mainly from folks who couldn't compete this year but have competed in the past and want to stay up on the competition in case they return next year. I'll gladly update this thread from time to time if that helps others see what is going on in the NFBC Main Event.

Mark Srebro took the overall lead late in Week 2 and early in Week 3 and has held the top spot for 2+ weeks now. He has a 300+ point lead right now, but there are 20+ weeks of the competition yet. Here's the Top 20 as of May 4th:

1. Mark Srebro

2. Roger Garvin

3. Bob Mazur

4. John Kerr

5. Glenn Lowy

6. Rich Verost

7. Andrew Robinson

8. Scott Greengold

9. Kenneth Norred

10. Tom Zarogiannos

11. Winston Sapigao

12. Kent Stermon

13. Stephen Jupinka

14. Nate Ravitz

15. Patrick Young

16. Eddy Betancourt

17. Andrew Robinson

18. Marc Ewing-Chow

19. Terrence Haney

20. Richard Kidd

Great job to a lot of familiar names on this list and good luck to everyone the rest of the way.

Who Is Leading The NFBC Main Event?

It would be nice to see the lineups for everyone. I can see Glenn's lineup since he is in my league but I have no idea who's contributing for these other guys. Please make lineups visible so that we don't have to "guess who" - no pun intended - is giving 2000 pts in both pitching and hitting, which is phenomenal even for early May.

I agree, just click the team name and it should take you to his current lineup. Works for me.
Unfair playing field, I dont see it either. The page just ends under the drop downs. Mac / safari and fire fox don't work.

But Chet is right. He is in 12th overall. There are so many combinations of winning tickets that what anyone else has does not matter. The only thing that matters is who we have.

Atlantic City Weekend 1 - League 1 has two teams in the top 10 (Us and RichV) and two other guys in our league (Glenn and Gekko) who have teams in other leagues in the top 10.

Not sure if that's common but it seems like it should be uncommon to me.
Just need to know what group of players I'm chasing that's all. Scoreboard watching is an important part of this contest, I mean my players have to take care of business, but it's also good to know that Konerko goes without a homer one day for a change.

So you're saying there's no solution for Mac users?

I use IE and Mozilla. Have never had a problem. Not sure what you guys are doing wrong. You just click the team name when your in the live standings. You can also try to change the drop down when your in your league standings and choose the league that they are in and try to click their team name there.

Here is the first overall team as of today:

Snyder

McCann

Konerko

Weeks

Uribe

Tulowitzki

Uggla

N. Johnson

Teahen

Willingham

Ethier

Cargo

Borbon

Contreras

Zito

Gorzellany

Masterson

Rauch

Nunez

Bench:

Pudge

Hairston

McCutchen

Blanton

Gio
Yes- Tried from the standings, from the overall standings, from the team stats page ect. I am computer savvy. I sent Greg a screen cap of what I am getting.

Btw, I also cant get it on my work PC that uses IE. Havent tried my Sons PC yet. It might be a setting that Fanball needs to change.
