Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Torre should be hung by his nuts. That was gross and downright abuse of Broxton. Torre being Torre. I would not be surprised to see Brox on the DL at some point this year.

Not to compare Corpas to a "star" pitcher but of his three recent blow ups not one was a save situation. Thanks Jim Tracy.

How bout Arod with 4 rbi's and he really didnt have a hit,McDonald lost the ball in the sun on an easy popup which becomes a 3run double.

Four of the cheapest rbi's ive ever seen.

Kazmir gives up 13 runs, yet has/had a better WHIP than Pelfrey who gave up just four runs.

All I could think of when I got home today and saw our pitching line in the Super was this thread. After Marmol's blowup last night I got home to see Bumgarner and Niemann combine for 6ip 17er and 19 baserunners I almost fell over!!! Our team era rose from 3.77 to 3.88 in a matter of 6 innings pitched!!! Wow an afternoon like this is tough to recover at any point especially this late in the year....

Niemann started the week on the DL. On Monday I realized that I had a chance to put Niemann into my starting lineup and then swap him out over the weekend to get another pitcher into the lineup while still getting credit for today’s start.

I’ve never made this kind of roster move, it might be “legal” but I think it’s against the “spirit” of the rule. Truth be told though, I considered doing it this week because I am in a tight race and every stat might make the difference.

In the end I didn’t put Niemann in the lineup because I wouldn’t have been able to justify to myself the massaging of the rules.

Then Niemann gets lit up…………. I feel good.
