If Carlos Beltran dropped?
Seems to me that most of those that are complaining one way or the other are quite biased. If you are complaining that Sizemore or Beltran are let into the player pool it is that you either are not willing to spend the faab dollars or that you don't want your competitors to get him. Or if you do want him, you feel you Either way most of the remarks on players being allowed into the faab pool are quite disingenious while trying to seem objective. Greg is dammed if he does or dammed if he does not removed them. That is the truth of the matter.

The reason you can't win is that you are playing a loser's game. Don't try to micromanage this thing. Let the leagues play out on their own. You have opened a HUGE can of worms here than can taint the contest even more. I agree 100%.
Eddie's comments were spot on as well. Cobb, Eddie, ESPN Ocho are all in leagues directly impacted by this. Just about all those that think Greg did the rt thing are all conveniently NOT in lge's where Sizemore was dropped.
To echo Eddie's remarks about adp, he's absolutely rt...a player's adp is meaningless. Vlad's adp was probably b/w 10th-13th rd's...he's leading mlb in rbi's. Gardner's adp was what, 18th rd?
Who would you rather have rt now? Grady or Vlad or Gardner?

You have opened a HUGE can of worms here than can taint the contest even more. With all due respect, this appears to be a rather extreme over-reaction. Nothing was done that isn't spelled out clearly in the rules. For those who may not have read them, here it is:
"Commissioner Review of Player Drops: All player drops for free agents are subject to review by the NFBC commissioner and can be revoked if the dropped player is deemed too valuable to be offered to that league's free agent pool, thus damaging the credibility of the overall contest. In the case of a "star" player being dropped in a league for a valid reason, the NFBC commissioner reserves the right to allow the cut but keep the player out of that league's free agent pool for any length of time, possibly the entire season. All decisions by the NFBC commissioner will be final."
This rule has been in place for several years. As Greg said, we have rarely exorcised it. In fact, there have been times we've been criticized (in vain as it turned out) for leaving some players in the pool because many on the boards insisted their values were too strong. As was posted earlier, in many ways we're damned if we do and damned if we don't with this type of situation.
People need to be aware that we RARELY remove players from the free-agent pool and if we do, we'll thoroughly explain the thought process as Greg has done. If some disagree, that's fine. Nothing wrong with that. And it's also important to remember that Greg has said we will re-visit the situation on Monday. So it's possible Sizemore's status will be updated. We'll see what new information is available and act accordingly.
But I strongly disagree with the statement that the event is being "tainted" for following a rule that has been in place, is clearly written in the rules and been enforced (albeit extremely rarely) in previous years.
