First Draft 2011, In 2010

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:51 am

Yearly, I've run a Message Board Mock Draft around the end of the season. This year, I'd like to do the same thing and start another draft at the same time.

The other draft would be a $125 slo draft, 30 rounds, with FAAB.

It would begin on October 4, the day after baseball season ends.

Maybe we can call it the 'Premature E-Draftulation League', I don't know.

I've E-mailed Greg and he is on board for getting this set up.

Absolutely, count me in for this. Being that football is pretty much having your players avoiding injuries, I'm passing on that this year.

So I'll do some baseball in the fall instead.

You're in, Em.

You can spend Thanksgiving knowing who you have, instead of wondering who you'll get.

A good thing about drafting in October, we can't be accused of being 'sheep' or 'Shandlerites'

Count me in. I would prefer the 45 round DC format but either way I would be happy to do a slow draft this early.

This would be interesting as a Don Mathis league. I would be in. That is to use 2010 stats.

You betcha, Dub. Glad to have you.

Just so there is no mix-up later, Don, I do NOT have you signed up as I believe you only wanted to play with your league stipulations.

If I'm wrong, let me know.

We have 10 sign ups.

I will sign up for this slow draft. How many weeks or months does it take to complete?

Typically, a slo draft will take around two weeks. If KJ runs it, a lot less :D

Since this draft starts so soon in the off season, it could take longer.

We only have four more openings.

Scott and Jon, you guys are in.

After we get 15, I'll send a list to Greg and he'll start the ball rolling as to payment, our draft picks, and the draft room.

He's a busy guy right now with football, so I really wouldn't expect anything too soon.

Hang tight.

We have 1-3 openings left depending on some schedules.

Thanks, Dan

We now have 13 1/2.

We have one solid spot left with somebody on the fence.

Thanks all.
