Opening Day was ruined for NFBC'ers by a Fanball miscue. The first FAAB was a disaster. Fixes came and went and are still needed.
Since then, the problems have been small, no more than in past years. A good thing. Fanball has lost most or all of our trust while being less than contrite . Being the 'go betweens', there have been plenty of apologies from Greg, but we have had little or no contact from Fanball.
The NFBC has moved from Mom and Pop to a conglomerate and most of us didn't like it.
The NFBC has become compartmentalized and errors and problems are corrected on company time, not asap.
Fanball has the Wal Mart mentality of crushing competition while extracting the most money out of its customers for the least amount of service.
It goes after whales, while trying to keep the small fry happy. American industry.
It is late August, and decision time for most of us on whether to continue down this road.
I've made my mind up. I'm continuing playing in the NFBC.
Reasons?
1. We'll get paid.
This should be the number one factor in every high stakes game.
2. The worst problems are behind us.
We were duped. Most of us didn't know that we would have to start from square one again. It was a rotten thing not knowing, and part of the trust lost in Fanball was due to not knowing we had to start all over again, despite Fanball being an established firm.
3. We know better now.
We now know that fixes will come when Fanball wants to give them to us, not when we want them.
Not like the past.
4. Greg and the Gang.
There is always hope in the NFBC gang. Greg has our best interests at heart and will relay those feelings to Fanball.
The NFBC is Greg's inkling. An inkling that has brought us all together. The inkling that still remains intact, as does our trust and respect in Greg.
5 Us.
We are almost like family. We are among the best fantasy players in the country. The competition will not be any better some place else. In fact, I would bet you'd see a noticeable drop if played ANYWHERE else.
Dare I say...We're Experts

I dislike the two party system, but still vote.
I dislike Wal Mart but still shop there.
I dislike Fanball, but love the NFBC.
In this economy, we give and take. The Yellow Brick Road is gone. There's no clear path.
I'm not going to allow Fanball to take the fun out of fantasy for me.
In fact, I'm looking forward to better days ahead. Playing in the NFBC is still a kick in the ass for me. In these days and times, kicks in the asses are hard to find.
