nydownunder You have a very good team. Best ive seem posted to date.Love all your pitchers, robertson is my sleeper pitcher pick. I got him in the 2nd pick in round 21.Were did you get him.Byrd is another great late pick [16 wins on that team.]Tompson 8 and 1 after the all star break. I like a lot of your hitters too, but you have aubry huff in the outfield , he is only 1b and 3b. You can move him to utilety and bench probably NIXON , BECAUSE i love IBANEZ this year with the new lineup.I also got robertson in the newyork a.l. auction for 6. Would have gone 12.Lost him in the ULTIMATE PICK 2 19 ROUND. IN ROUND 18 DIDNT HAVE A 3B AND TOOK ATKINS NEEDED A LITTLE BAVG. GOOD LUCK BAD [ass] ANGELS

GOOD LUCK BAD [ass] ANGELS Ibanez qualifies for OF, so Huff starts as the Util. I picked Byrd and Robertson back to back, so I think it was #22/23. K. Green in the 16th was a steal. Ibanez and Nixon I think were really high...I think 18 and 20...or 17 and 19. Conservatively (ie Arod batting .298) this team will bat close to .288 with POWER, RUNS, and RBI. I'll get 120-140 SB's. But you never know with the SP's.

Dave, I am certainly not one of the "experts", but you may have the youngest offense I have ever seen. I am not saying good or bad...

UFS,

You may want to rethink that 'Buehrle in 11'. He broke his ankle shagging fly balls.

I think we ended up starting with Ichiro at #13?

Since I may have been a tad unkind to you in a "prior" thread (you asked about Prior's average draft position), I noticed you posted your team here, so I'll take this opportunity to show some love.

1) Do you have an obsession with all things Ryan? Nolan Ryan shrine in your bathtub, I take it? =)

2) That offense is not sexy. Giambi, Frank Thomas, Griffey, Gonzo, Sosa, Berkman (hurt), etc.? Your offense needs an anchor, and instead its full of hope and dreams of years gone by.

3) There are also plenty of doubters this year for Soriano, myself included.

4) You paid a premium for non-sexy tier-B pitchers (sexy tier-B would have been Schilling, Sheets, Peavy, Perez).

5) Did I promise some love? I love BJ Ryan and Mike Gonzalez. Very sexy stuff.

KJ, I think I like the Crawford play at #13, but it seems like you had to pound some more sluggers to offset the far far below normal number from Carl for HR and RBI. I would have liked to see you with a better/more solid #5 OF and a better Corner Infielder. Your pitching is strong, though - so perhaps you built in the right spots and one of your fliers at OF will come through. For my sake, I hope it's Taveras as I have him, too - but for your sake I hope it's one of the heavy hitters instead. Obviously if you hit the waivers the right way you could fill your holes rather easily.

I actually think Mike Adams could be superb to round out your nasty bullpen.

My squad:

C: Olivo, T. Greene

1b: Delgado

2b: Jimenez

3b: Lowell

SS: C. Guillen

OF: Abreu, Sheffield, Hidalgo, Luis Gonzalez, Ibanez

1b/3b: Casey Blake

2b/ss: Some scrub (I can't remember who I got here.. had to leave Vegas on an emergency and forgot all my papers)

Util: Biggio

SP: Halladay, Garcia, J. Marquis, O. Hernandez, Runelvys Hernandez

RP: Takatsu, Guardado, Ayala, League

Bench: Mark Prior, Barry Bonds, Lance Berkman, Wily Mo Pena, Wily Taveras, Vinny Castilla, Dave Williams

Edelman, your 1b/3b/CI gambits scare me. Your OF is phenomenal, though - so maybe it balances out.

Your pitching staff is full of sleepers and guys who could be solidly productive - I worry about k's for you, though?

Good luck,

Your pitching has some holes... super sleepers that may pop just right. Arroyo may not even be a starter, Pineiro.. enough said. Wakefield may make your WHIP cry a bit. I took David Williams as well, love his makeup. Luke Hudson could explode. If you get some of those pitchers to come through... nice job. I like the mix - overall very very solid draft. We all need some things to happen, the art (I think) is putting the risk in areas you can manage. I think you did that nicely.
