I know the season isn't quite over yet, but let's face it Steve Jupinka (Quahogs) is gonna win $100,000!! Steve is one of the very best owners in the NFBC and it is nice to see "skill" rewarded with the NFBC's top prize.

Let me be the first to say congrats. Steve, we are all jealous of you and the accomplishment!

Seriously, how annoying is this guy?

Ruining any chance at a true pennant race. ;)

Seriously great job Steve worthy of all this praise as you coast to your long deserved 1st Championship.

Steve,

Since you always killed us in the NY leagues (and somehow I was always in your league), but didn't win the title, makes me feel better that you went to vegas and not only dominated, but won the $100k ... Fantastic job and congrats, glad to see another nice guy finish 1st!

As an up and coming soon-to-be champion of the NFBC :D (and fellow Jersey Boy), I had the pleasure this year of getting to know Steve during some mutual drafts we shared this season, and eventually got a chance to get together over some wings and a beer with him this past summer. Gotta say that it couldn't happen to a nicer guy and congrats! I look forward to using your tutelage, knowledge, and trade secrets against you for many years to come. But this morning, all I can do is stand in awe of your accomplishment. Savor it well this winter, my friend. Well-deserved and well done!

Will the great Moyer for Padilla double start call result in any financial swings? I hope it doesn't.

Congrats Steve! You put a strangle hold on not only our league but the Main as well and wouldn't/couldn't let it go. Totally dominating performance. One for the books.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

We'll have more about Steve's championship season in the days and weeks to come but I also want to extend my congratulations on his championship season. I've gotten to know Steve over the years for the NFBC and NFFC and he is a class guy. He's not only a terrific champion but an outstanding representative for the NFBC.

Congratulations Steve. Great job this season.

CONGRATS STEVE!!! AMAZING JOB!! And you dominated in a very, very tough Las Vegas League.

Folks, this is a record-breaking season for Steve and his Quahogs team. He won Las Vegas League 5 with 144.5 points, a record for any main event league. Drafting out of the 12th spot, Quahogs led LV 5 in Runs, Batting Average, Steals, ERA and WHIP, while finishing second in RBI, Home Runs (tied for 2nd), Wins, Strikeouts and Saves. Just a dominating, dominating performance.

144.5. That record might stand awhile.

He also set a new NFBC record in total points earned, finishing with 3,925.5 points. That was 90.2 percent of the available points, the highest percentage ever earned by an overall champion. The previous record was 86.77% set by Terry Haney in 2007.

Great job Steve and CONGRATS!

Congrats to all of the league champions, top overall finishers, and especially Mr. J for his superior play. Also, special congrats to Gekko (2 teams in the top 15) and Andy Robinson (2 teams in the top 30).

Hope to see everyone next season.

Aamzing season! 90% of the overall points and over 96% of the league points is just flat-out ridiculous.

I have long maintained that it is almost impossible to make a substantial profit in fantasy baseball. Guys like Mr. Jupinka are proving that theory wrong each and every year.

Congrats on winning the NFBC.

Congrats on winning the NFBC. Hey, I think you've proven in fantasy football you can make some good loot there, too. ;)

You'll also be happy to know that Steve won a pair of $325 Slow Draft Leagues, so he now has two free entries in the NFBC Main Event. Thankfully he won't have to dip into his winnings to pay for those!! :D Nice job Steve.
