It's never easy to win a 15-team NFBC Main Event League title, so we tip our hats to all of you who did it in 2010. We had 29 leagues in 2010 and we finished with 28 league champions. Well, 30 actually if you count the two tied league titles.
Mark Srebro was the only owner to win two main event league titles in 2010. He won Atlantic City 1 and he won New York 4. I believe Mark now has four NFBC Main Event titles. The only other owners with four Main Event league titles is Stephen Jupinka, who won his fourth this year while adding the $100,000 grand prize, and Shawn Childs. That's a pretty good threesome.
Two leagues finished in a tie this year and thus those owners will be splitting first and second place league money. Both leagues happened in New York during the second weekend. New York League 1 had owners Anthony Palavis and John Bono finish tied for first with 124.0 points each, and New York League 3 had David Deterra and Michael Cortese finish in a dead-heat with 108.0 points apiece. Amazing. Congrats to all of you.
All ties, whether they are first and second or second and third split the prize money. First place increased to $5,200, second place is $2,600 and third place is $1,300.
We'll have a complete list of prize winners shortly, but I quickly went through the 29 Main Events and wrote down the league champions. I'm just listing the principle owners here, although I know many of you had very valuable co-owners. I'm just trying to spread the word quickly and let everyone know who all won league titles. The rest will come shortly.
NFBC First Weekend:
Las Vegas 1: Ken Norred
Las Vegas 2: Patrick Young
Las Vegas 3: Michael Cameron
Las Vegas/St. Louis: Josh Honeycutt

Las Vegas 6: Gene McCaffrey
Las Vegas 7: Chris Plouffe
Las Vegas 8: Stephen Fiore

Two leagues were decided by a half a point. LV 3 saw Tom Zarogiannos edge ahead of Gregory Glukhovsky during the final week for the league title and Edward Klein edged Jeff Butler for the Online 1 league title by half a point.
Great job all. EVERYONE on this list deserves a standing ovation.

Congrats To All 2010 NFBC Main Event League Champs!!
I put this data on a separate thread, but I'll include it here as well:
It's always interesting to look at the end of the season and see where the top owners drafted from. It has been very balanced in past NFBC seasons and it looks balanced again this year. No one spot or no top draft pick dominated among the 29 NFBC Main Event leagues. Here's the data for all 31 first place teams (there were two leagues that tied, so I used data from both teams):
No. 1 - 3 teams won league titles
No. 2 - 0 teams
No. 3 - 4 teams
No. 4 - 4 teams
No. 5 - 1 team
No. 6 - 4 teams
No. 7 - 2 teams
No. 8 - 3 teams
No. 9 - 2 teams
No. 10 - 2 teams
No. 11 - 1 team
No. 12 - 1 team
No. 13 - 1 team
No. 14 - 1 team
No. 15 - 2 teams
Nos. 1-5: 12 teams
Nos. 6-10: 13 teams
Nos. 11-15: 6 teams
It's interesting to note that league champs drafted in every spot except No. 2. It's even more interesting to note that no league champion had Hanley Ramirez on their team this year. Crazy.
No single player dominated on championship teams this year, but Albert Pujols led the way by being on four title teams. Just looking at the first round picks (not that they are the key, but just looking at common players), here were the players selected on championship teams:
Albert Pujols (4 teams)
Alex Rodriguez (3 teams)
Ryan Braun (3 teams)
Chase Utley (3 teams)
Mark Teixeira (3 teams)
Ryan Howard (3 teams)
Joe Mauer (2 teams)
Miguel Cabrera (2 teams)
Evan Longoria (2 teams)
Troy Tulowitzki (2 teams)
David Wright (1 team)
Carl Crawford (1 team)
Prince Fielder (1 team)
Matt Kemp (1 team)

Looking at last year's champions, it appears we have only three repeat league champions from 2009. They include:
John Bono
Joe Kruk
Tom Zarogiannos
