For those that haven't seen Pulp Fiction 398 times, or want a reminder, watch this 3 minute clip first.

Pulp Fiction

Then come back and watch my version:

The Padilla Situation

Just having fun :D ;)

Also, here is the video I took last year in Chicago. I plan on doing another video this year, this time with interviews. So when you see me at the draft filming, waive or stop over and give your thoughts.

Holy smokes! That Chicago main event looks a little tight!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twFs9Vk6F0A Glenn, I went to St. Louis and Chicago last year. For how tight Chicago looks, it can be called 'roomy' when compared to St. Louis.

Of course, it doesn't take anything from the drafts at either location, but after doing Vegas for five years, it was certainly different!

The previous couple of years the Chicago draft was held at the Stevens Convention Center. We had plenty of space and the room was very big. Last year the move was made to the Cubby Bear across the street from Wrigley.

On Friday night last year we only had one event and one league, the Auction Championship. On the video you can see that we had plenty of room for this one league. What’s not on the video is what happened midway through the draft. Our room was on the second floor, right over the main stage on the first floor. Around 8pm the band started playing, it was very loud in our room. Not good for an auction.

On Saturday it was crowded. Although I liked the fact that the “U” shape of the tables were closer together. It made it much easier to actually talk to the people across the table from you. It would have been better though if we had more room between all the leagues.

From what I understand, there is much more room at this year’s location, Arlington Park.

Too bad it doesn't say: "On Opening Day, Padilla goes down. The sting you feel is pride. Pride is _______ with you." :D

Any idea what hotel's are close to the draft site? are they walking distance or do they require a cab ride? How far is this from the airport?

That must have been a lot of work, Russ.

Excellent job!

I got a kick out of the film from the draft.

It's amusing to me to see folks before a draft. Some visit. Some want to be 'alone' in their thoughts. Some pour over lists or notes.

The one thing everybody shares is the nervous excitement at KNOWING, the moment of truth is minutes away.

Some look like their first sex is minutes away. Some look like their first root canal is minutes away.

It's sweet misery.

In the first round, the only thing worse than not drafting the player expected, is to have a choice of two unexpected players.

Between picks, mental 'aw shitts' with each opponents pick, a seeming eternity till another selection is made.

Thanks again, Russell.

I can't wait to feel and see all these emotions again.

In some ways, we have it tougher than the players we draft. They have 600-700 chances to make good, we only have 30.
