Update On NFFC Prize Payouts From Fanball

I just inquired about the NFFC payouts for 2010 and was told by Fanball officials that these would start to be mailed out on Friday, March 4th, exactly four weeks after you could claim your prizes. They are sending out all of the Fanball winning checks at that time, not just the NFFC checks, so if you played in other Fanball contests expect those checks to go out then.

This is obviously later than we've ever sent out checks to our NFFC winners, but at least we have the update from Fanball and we can plan accordingly. I'm sorry we couldn't have gotten these winning checks in your hands sooner, but let's get everyone paid in full and move on. Going forward there is no question that we will return to our quick delivery of winning checks in the NFFC, even processing regular season winning checks in December like we did before. Getting paid on time is Priority Number One going forward and it's something we obviously did well in the NFBC and NFFC for the first six years.

If anyone wanted to use their NFFC winnings to pay for 2010 NFBC events and is holding off because of this, I promise we will hold off on any NFBC payment until you have your NFFC winnings in hand. We will not process your charges if you want us to hold them until you have check in hand. Just contact me at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553. I will arrange that.

We all want you to get paid in full and on time, so plan accordingly for these checks going out next Friday. The good news is that now we know when they are going out and everyone who has claimed their prize by now should see them soon. Let's deal with that time-frame and move on. Just an update for the NFFC players who are waiting for payment. I received my first check yesterday -- this amount was listed in the "My Account -- Prizes" link as "Check sent on 2/23/11." The remainder of the checks show dates of 2/23/11 and 2/28/11.

Check the prizes link on your Fanball account. If you're showing a check sent date, by all appearances the checks should be in your mailbox very soon.

I actually spoke to Tarra today in Fanball's accounting department. She said any checks dated 2/23 likely went out this past Friday and all checks with later dates will follow accordingly.

As they get a batch of checks completed, they send it to those who handle the mailing. They're pushing the checks out now.

Just an FYI.....

When I got home today, the check to compensate me for the NFBC Main Event free entry I won last year was waiting for me.

Since my Fanball Prize tab notes that my NFFC football check was cut the same day, I'm guessing that check should be here in the next day or so.

Good to hear folks and keep posting here to alert other NFFC winners. Our NFFC Message Boards are still down, so it's hard to alert everyone over there and I'm hearing this first-hand from you guys. I did hear last week that the checks were going out by March 4th so it's good to hear they actually went out a week earlier.

Hopefully everyone gets them before we even start charging for the NFBC. Congrats to all of the winners and you earned that money. Glad you're getting it now.

I'm now fully paid from Fanball for both the NFBC and NFFC.

GlennX, sounds like it took 8 calender days from when the check was written till you received it. If that's the case, i hope to put a on these boards about next tuesday.

Yours may take a bit longer than mine Bill. From what I remember, your envelope will likely be a bit thicker and a lot heavier than mine. Might take the postman a little more time and effort to carry.

Just a quick heads up that the NFFC boards are finally back up and running. We had a glitch during the transfer from Fanball to STATS over there where the post message link did not work. We had to fix that and it took longer than expected because these boards are so old. But we got it done and now folks can post again over there.

Tom and I will do all we can to update those folks on football payments, 2011 plans and more when we can. But if you play both events, don't be afraid to go over there and let folks know how things are looking over here. I think any reassuring thoughts will help those players who haven't seen the progress that you've been seeing. Thanks all.
