Lindy Hinkelman, a hog farmer from Greencreek, Idaho and a veteran NFBC owner who hadn't won any league titles before 2009, had the dream season in the NFBC that year. He won the $100,000 overall grand prize in the NFBC Main Event to prove that he was the best among 15-team owners. Then he did the impossible and won the 12-team NFBC Online Championship grand prize of $40,000, beating almost 1,000 teams twice.
That year I initiated a $75,000 cash bonus program for anyone who could win both overall titles. It was an incentive to get owners to try both formats and see if anyone could dominate each of them. I bought insurance for the program and we guaranteed the cash prize, never really expecting anyone to win it. Neither did the insurance company!!
But sure enough, Lindy Hinkelman did the impossible, the insurance company did its due diligence and paid the winner and now the program lives on, with proof that someone can win the cash bonus. The same insurance company even came back last year to sell it again as they didn't think anyone could do it again. And while nobody did it last year, several owners were close, proving this can be done twice.
Now we're back with the program again. Insurance has been secured and it's time to see if anyone can win "The Lindy." Heck, can Lindy win the Lindy?
You need to be in the NFBC Main Event and the NFBC Online Championship (which also includes a Live Double Play entry) to win the $75,000 cash prize. Combo standings will be held for these contests as well so that owners get another set of standings to follow each day and compare themselves to everyone else in these contests. And we pay the Top five in the combo standings:NFBC Main Event/NFBC Double Play Online

So if you're in the Main Event, don't be afraid to jump into a Live Double Play for a shot at that $70,000 grand prize or the Online Championship for that $50,000 grand prize. Someone could actually win $100,000 + $70,000 + $75,000 to top Lindy's record haul of $241,300 in 2009!!! I'd love to see someone do it.
We were all proud of Lindy when he did that. It proved that anything is possible here for ANY OF US. If Lindy can do it, well, why can't you? So take a look at the Double Play options Live and Online and add that to your Main Event this year. It could bring home another $75,000 cash prize for ya. Lindy is living proof that it can be done.
