Citi Field Will Offer Free Wi-Fi Again
We're happy to announce that our good friends with the Mets will again be providing free Wi-Fi access for the NFBC events this year. We'll have the code onsite when you arrive but this is a great feature the Mets are providing. Thanks to Heather and Co. for adding another nice feature again this year.

Not to be the squeaky wheel on this... but is it totally fair to the overall competition to have this available in some venues and not others? Injury news has broken during the draft before, so potentially NY drafters get to know about it while others don't?
Wifi was available in the Bellagio last year... for something like $700/day.
Not a huge deal, just asking.

Hello gift-horse, let me see your mouth.
But, I had the same thought as well. And then there is the scenerio where leagues are combined across locations. For example, looking at the numbers, the first weekend has the potential of combining some online players with those in Vegas.
In the end, a minor point, especially considering that there was a fair chance we were looking at no NFBC for 2011 just a couple of months ago.

its more a convenience issue than anything -- if you have a smartphone ( which i assume everyone does ) its fairly easy to either just use the phone or tether your laptop through the phone -- some may also have a 3g/4g card in their laptop -- its not like there is no way for the other venues to get an internet connection

Not a huge deal, just asking. Ray, I understand your point but we are NOT paying for WiFi at Citi Field. It's just there. In the past, some Vegas hotels had WiFi that some users found and we didn't pay for it. We're not paying for it anywhere at this point and we can't even guarantee that Citi Field has it this year. Folks are just saying it was available last year and it's possible it will be available this year.
Bellagio could have it too. We'll see. I don't know if Pujols or Ballys or Arlington Park has WiFi. We're at the mercy of the establishments unless we decide to buy it for everyone everywhere.
