No Draft Slot Championship This Year

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:06 am

With everything we still have to finish before Opening Day, we've decided not to push out a Draft Slot Championship this year in the NFBC. Sorry about that all. It would just be too much to create that within Registration and within the overall standings pages at this point. But we definitely will do this next year and most likely for football in 2011.

I think the feedback was strong that we could add $100 for the Main Event and $50 for the Double Play to this concept. That will be the price points next year with a Top 3 payout for each draft slot and a solid percentage payback similar to the online events. So for everyone who drafted from the 15th spot in the Main Event and wanted to compete in the 15th Draft Slot Championship, there would be this "side pool" if you will for all who entered. Obviously the number of participants would vary for each spot in each contest, but in time I think it would catch on.

We'll plan for that next year and get it on the registration page right away. Thanks all and sorry again.

We will have Second Chance Leagues starting in May this year. They are exactly what you think they are. ;) Why wait until the All-Star break for another draft, right? ;) Look for more details on those once the injuries start piling up in April!! :D Good luck all and safe travels this week and next week.
